Occidental Negros was once the richest before Marcos took over and bought it all together with his cronies. They now own almost all the prime sugar lands and planted mangoes and other fruit bearing trees in place of sugar cane. His crony Benedicto and Danding Cojuanco have it until today.

That sounds like a good thing, sugar are bad causes diabetes but mangoes are fruits and are great food supplements. Economy is not all about plastics toys and looking rich.

lol, your laguna has no tall buildings like here in Cebu. In Cebu City, there are many tall buildings and we have also 3 km tunnel that built by our province. Does Laguna has these?
Remember, Cebu is the only province in the Philippines has no debt both foreign and domestic, we can sustain our needs without borrowing money from the national.

Yes, Cebu is a in the province and has 167 surroundings islands.

The cities of Cebu, Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue are often grouped with the province, but are governed independently.

Cebu is subdivided into 6 component cities and 44 municipalities. The cities of Cebu, Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue are independent cities that are not under provincial supervision.

Cebu has been named as the furniture capital of the Philippines.

The Mactan-Cebu International Airport on Mactan Island serves the general area of Cebu City and its surrounding area.

The Cebu International Port is the largest shipping hub in the Visayas.

Cebu is one of the most developed provinces in the Philippines, with Cebu City as the main center of commerce, trade, education and industry in the Visayas.

Cebu is the most developed province in the Philippines!!! No province in the Philippines can compare with Cebu in both GDP and GNP!!! The economy of Cebu is ten times as much as the next competitor!!!

Cebu is the safest place to live for there is no flooding in the mainland, as well as its surrounding islands, because of the fact that the topography of Cebu is elevated only in the middle portion and water can cascade and reach the sea in a matter of minutes!!!

Cebu is an elongated island and water can cascade with ease from the center because the central mountains are just 10 kilometers away from both sides of the island!!!

The matter is not true in Luzon and Mindanao!!! Water stays for long hours in the lowlands and then gathers strength to flow into the sea when heavy downpours emanate from the mountains and thereby causing flashfloods!!!

Cebu as a province is made up of the following cities:

1. Cebu City
2. Mandaue City
3. Lapulapu City
4. Talisay City
5. Toledo City
6. Bogo City
7. Carcar City
8. Danao City

Most of the towns of Cebu are first class municipalities and some even look much better economically and have much better industrial development than most most of the cities in Luzon!!!

There is a plan to link Cebu with Negros Oriental by way of a bridge in both the southern portion of the said islands where it is closer!!! It may be longer than the San Juanico Bridge connecting the islands of Samar and Leyte!!!

Negros Oriental is that portion of Negros Island wherein Cebuano is spoken as the local tongue!!! Dumaguete City is the capital while that of Bacolod City which is the capital of Negros Occidental, it is Ilongo!!!

The planned bridge would surely make both Cebu and Negros improve dramatically most especially that the geothermal plant in Valencia, Bukidnon and near Dumaguete City could be harnessed to support the power needs of Cebu island!!! Right now, Cebu gets a portion of its power needs from the geothermal plant in the island of Leyte by submarine cable!!!
