Japanese-Peruvians still angry over wartime internment in U.S. camps

Full story: The Japan Times

As Peruvians of Japanese descent observe the 110th anniversary of their parents' or grandparents' immigration to the South American country this year, some do not hide their anger at World War II that forced them to live in an internment camp in the United States.

its been 144 years since slavery ended and blacks are still pissed of about it so, I think it will be at least another 100 years before the japs get over their little "hissy fit". oh well, life goes on.

I am sure the Chinese are still pissed off about the rape of nanking in WWII or perhaps America is still pissed off about the Burma death march. These incidents were far worse than anything America did, including Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Read a comment a while back on this same site where someone in Crystal was asking why the foundations were still on that empty lot....so NO I don't think they are being educated at all about this. As to the Japanese being angry about this.... well the other comment maker was right THE PAST IS THE PAST AND WE CAN'T CHANGE IT.

Does anyone know the exact street address of the camp? I'm curious about what the site looks like today.

Thanks

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
