Airline to get to the bottom of missing undies

An underpants thief is terrorising plane passengers in Papua New Guinea. Women travelling with the national carrier Air Niugini are fed up with one or many baggage handlers nicking their knickers.

Trouble is that "thong" to a PNG person would mean footwear. Probably if you asked the average Aussie they would say the same thing.

Thong can mean flip-flops, a type of footwear similar to sandals but without securing the ankles or a town in the United Kingdom.
