Demand progress for Palestinians

While Israelis and their supporters around the world celebrate three score years as a thriving economic engine in the Middle East, Palestinians have yet to celebrate a single year or even a single day as a ...

Wow.... From time to time we need to be reminded of the old, warped, hollow Arab propaganda slogans....

...As if the Mideast conflict has all started with the Israeli "occupation" of 1967... As if once Israel withdraws from the West Bank and Gaza --- Palestinians will be all happy and peace will reign over the region.

...Oh, wait, but the Israelis DID withdraw from ALL of the Gaza Strip, almost 3 years ago.... What have they got in appreciation? A daily barrage of rockets targeting Israeli towns, villages and farms -- just yesterday a Katyusha rocket hitting a shopping mall in the city of Ashkelon, injuring scores of Israeli civilians, many of them women and children...

The problem is NOT Israeli occupation. The problem is Arab racist hatred and deadly violence that has started some 80 years ago.

And seems like they WANT to keep it going. Creating their history in blood and martyrdom.

Fanatics always move the goalposts-Lebanon's
redline...the boundaries of Gaza...Germany storming
Poland. This was never about Palestinians-whom
the Arab World has shunned, manipulated and
abandonned for decades. The monumental Arab ego
refused to recognize Israel. It mutated into a sick
distortion of terror dressed as religion.that seeks
total domination into Eruope. Arabs are the victims
of the hatred they nurtured for years against others
instead of uplifting Palestinians. People raised on
irrational violence are easy to manipulate-by anyone.

Call me when you can point to a single Palestinian shoe factory, a tire recycling plant or anything they accomplish for themselves with the support of the rest of the world, beyond new and better weapons.

It seems that any time someone actually tries to create a business to give Palestinians jobs or hope for a nomral life they are assassinated by one sect or the other.

Good point, DonP.... When evacuating the Gaza Strip the Israelis left behind several greenhouses, some of them where actually purchased by European philanthropists to be used by Palestinians.... Once the Jews were gone it took a couple days before all those greenhouses were all in ruins.

Or another example: An industrial park just outside the Erez border crossing between Israel and the Gaza Strip, financed by the World bank, the European Union and the USA.... Some 5,000 Gazans, were employed there in 200 small factories, from textile makers to auto repair shops. businesses mostly owned by Palestinians... But after a spate of Palestinian terror attacks on the park, in which scores of Palestinians, as well as Israelis, were injured, the Park was finally closed down in 2005.

Israel is not an ally of the US. And our support for them has been nothing but detrimental to our own national security.

We need to cut ties with Israel and let them sort out their own mess.

We need to stop sending the BILLIONS in aid we send them, and we need to stop sending our kids to fight proxy wars for them.

When is America going to wake up and realize we get NOTHING from Israel for the Billions we send them and for all the American kids who fight and die to protect them.

America, stop sending your children to die for Israel.

America stop sending $10,000,000,000 a year to Israel.

America stop making US citizens a target of Israel's enemies.

For the sake of our own future security, break ties with ISrael.

Good Copy-N-Paste job, my dear not for israel. I wonder what "credible source" you've been using....

A. Nobody in Israel EVER asked the USA to launch ANY of it's wars on Iraq. Nobody. The Israelis were actually WARNING the Americans against the last war. They were the ones telling Bush the problem is Iran, not Iraq.

B. The USA is sending BILLIONS to many other countries around the world, including to Egypt and other Arab countries, also the Palestinians........ Getting a LOT less for those "investments"...

C. "$10,000,000,000 a year to Israel" ?--- I think you need new batteries in your cheap calculator.

D. Fact is, ALL US administrations, Democrat or Republican, were supporting Israel for decades. One can only assume, unlike you, they must KNOW what they're doing...

E. I suggest you check what kind of hardware and software your computer is using.... Good chance there is at least 2-3 items which were developed or built in Israel.... Intel has ALL its latest chips developed by the Israelis... Microsoft, Motorola, Google and many more top-notch American companies have branches in Israel. Israel is a true powerhouse when it comes to technology and science, of which the USA is taking advantage.

Again Americans, it is your choice :

Do you want to send your children to defend and die for Israel?

Do want to continue being the targets of terrorist attacks because some politician "claims" that Israel is our "ally?"

Do you want to continue sending $1500+ of YOUR hard-earned money each year to each Israeli citizen..just 'cause some politician's palms are being greased by AIPAC? And how much of a tax "refund" did you get Mr. and MRS. American? Was it $600?

You better act quickly America. Or in another 2 years your kids will be stuck in Iran...all for the benefit of Israel. And where will the Israeli's be? The same place they are now...NOT fighting with our American kids to defend Israel. NO, they will leave us to fight and die and pay for the security of their nation. And we won't even get so much as a "Thank You."

You have it so wrong it is hard to even begin-

Saudi Arabia Arab Sunnis is the elephant in the room (camel in the tent?) that can't be acknowledged on one side and the Iran Shiia Persians on the other both vying for supremacy, hegemony, and coercion over Islam and the MidEast.

You must be one of the least educated posters I have ever run across on the boards and forums.

Your whole thought process is like taking a still photo of a 3 hour movie and synopsing the plot.

Israel and the west have been caught between the two competing forces and petro dollars finance it all..

Hard to believe that America has been dumbed down to this, amazing really ...

I tried to write this on a 4th grade level so you could comprehend somewhat.. or you can stay mired in your ignorance.

We need to have open public discussion of what American foreign policy should be in the Middle East in general. Right now even bring the subject up if you're a public person brings condemnation from the Israel Lobby, particularly the Likud types. It's a shame, but with Carter, Mearsheimer and Walt the foundation is being laid for informed discussion and for something other than green-lighting anything the Jewish right wing wants.

Rubish! Propaganda about Palestinian victimhood. Before the first intafada, Palestinians enjoyed the highest per capita income in the Arab world outside oil rich countries. The Palestinians are currently the largest per capita receivers of foreign aid in the world. In 2004 it was estimated to be about $300 per person. Many other countries have rebuilt their economies with far less money. They receive billions of dollars and squander it. The Palestinians have always blamed others for their own tragic mistakes.

There is right now an "open public discussion" On the one side are the loony libs, who would bring chaos and ruin to our country, and on the other side are the realists who dare to tell the bitter truth. If you're a wishful thinker, vote Obama. If you're a realist vote McCain

Well, obviously this poster named Not For Israel is NOT one of those who use their brains... Facts do not make any difference to him/her/it.

...And this is so typical to people like him/her/it. They know VERY little about the issues, they visit only those web sites that play their distorted tune, and they copy any garbage they find there.

They are here to spread their racist hateful agenda. Some idiots swallow it, the intelligent among us just giggle.

Ah, Yasser wants to bring the racist card to the table...how original...how thoughtlessly thrown about as if it meant anything at all to anybody anymore.

So, when I say that the United States needs to put its own best interests first, I should be called a racist? Or a 4th grader?

Sorry folks I'm not here to discuss the history of Israel or the details of UN partition plans or peace accords.

I am here to say that Israel and it's neighbors have a problem with each other...and I don't want THEIR problem to be MY problem.

Yeah, go ahead and call me a racist or unintelligent. Because quite frankly your words mean nothing to mean when we have 4000+ dead American soldiers who went to Iraq to defend Israel. We will likely have thousands of more dead kids after being sent to Iran to defend Israel.

And then there is the whole issue of our "stagnant" economy...which happens to be bleeding billions of dollars with that war to defend Israel on top of the billions of dollars we send to Israel in grants, loans, and military aid. That money should be HERE for the things we need...yes to take care of Americans first.

If you refuse to put America's well-being FIRST..then please just leave this country because you are NOT welcome here.

Israel exists and no matter how hard people try it remains. Yes, it's a created nation as were Yugoslavia,Czechoslovakia, the former Soviet Union and (gasp!!) Iraq. Over the course of history nations were usually created in three ways; settlement in an unoccupied area, conquest,or treaty. let's say that 500 years down the line our descendants decide we gave the "native Americans" a royal screwing,we'll give them the state of Colorado. World opinion would applaud but what about anyone who lived in Denver?

Why don't we hold Palestinians responsible for peace, like we do Israelis? When they elect a terrorist government (Hamas) by a margin of 80%, they don't want peace. When Israel drops bombs on them, in response to rocket attacks, they are getting what they want. Screw the Palestinian terrorists. As long as they want to be killed, I say keep sending these "martyrs" to Allah.

We are in Iraq for oil. We would be in Aruba if it had
oil. Terrorsim and Shariah Law are not compatible
with an open capitalist society. We need to protect
our interests by keeping allies that are useful
and not pumping our money into bottomless lawless
pits like the PLO ($65Billion- where did it go????)
We fought Hitler to preserve our way of life and
economy. Same with Japan. We are fighitng those
who want to defeat us. Whether we leave Iraq,
or Israel is wiped off the map, we are on a collission
course with Iran.

They want the region and all of Europe. And they
want to eliminate any challenge to their repressive
society run under 2nd Century mentality. Islam has
to dominate to survive, otherwise it losses followers
to the freedoms of the West. You are an isolationist.'
We live in a global economy and the threat of terror
is worldwide. Palestinians took Israeli hostages in
1972 and the Olympics went on...they bombed Madrid and Britain....and you'd like to ignore it.
They want to murder cartoonists, writers, filmmakers,
bloggers and journalists around the globe. Why?

AND THEY ATTACKED US. What do you not get?

The problem here is Israel. If the Israeli's gave the Palestinians back their land and water and there was peace.then they would have to get off of our treasury's breast.
