Former CIA Intelligence Officer in charge of Blackwater Xe in Peshawar

More evidence of how former President Musharraf and the present Zardari-Malik-Haqqani clique allowed the Americans to quietly turn Pakistan into another Iraq.

Written by Faisal Muqadam, Nov 4, 2009

Fomer CIA Intelligence Officer Steven Cash is in charge of Blackwater operations in Peshawar. The Blackwater supervisory team in Peshawar includes James Bill William, Copper, Steven Cash, Roderick Christopher and Alisha Cambel. They have hired several Pakistani government officials and retired army personnel at remunerations as high as $2,000 per day.

Various journalists have been approached and offered bribes by these officials to implement the PSYOPs in newspapers and electronic media in Pakistan. They are pushing journalists to publish news stories of Talibans, as the Psychological Operations group of US Army has planned.

They are paying as high as $1000 per published news story to journalists. Meetings are held in various houses rented in University Town, Peshawar and residents have reported activities with tinted glasses jeeps during late night hours.

Steven Cash is a former senior U.S. government official. Mr. Cash served as an Intelligence Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency, first as an Assistant General Counsel, and then with the Directorate of Operations.

He also served as Chief Counsel to Senator Dianne Feinstein of California, and as Minority Staff Director of the Subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology and Homeland Security. From 2001 to 2003 he was a Professional Staff Member and Counsel for the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

The people of Peshawar are quite familiar with these faces, their vehicles and their compounds but what can they do? when ANP is patronizing them. They travel under police escort while Pakistani anchors of TV channels are busy portraying them as friends of Pakistan. Shaukat Khattak of Samma TV is pioneer of these anchors in Peshawar. Dollars speak higher than the people of Pakistan.

Qustions to you two brave souls--- Do you support Talibans and their spread of violence for all the lamenting you are doing? Are Pakistani people in favor of bringing terrorism to the world?

We hate both Taliban and the terrorists of Black Water who are both equally responsible for our plight while both are the puppets of USA. Take care of your own country affairs and don' t meddle into our affairs. By the way American are holding secret negotiations with Taliban to find a safe exit out of Afghanistan, same way Black Water must quit the Pakistani soil, if Americans are truelly peace lovers.

Mr. Khan Saab, the last I had heard Blackwater was a for profit corporation. I find it surprising that a corporation is trying to destablize Pakistan going against its own government , unless in your opinion the USA is trying to bring down the Pakistan's government . In that case, you are implying that Blackwater has received a contract from the US government to bring down the Pakistan's government. Very interesting , another of conspiracy theories that abound in Pakistan!!

These porkis jus need an excuse to blame someone for all their failures. It's MOSSAD, CIA, RAAW, Afghans, Blackwater, Indus water treaty,Bush,Obama, Osama, Aishwarya Rai, Pamella Anderson or even Paris Hilton's chihuahua. Moron mICHEAL was blaming RAW for the earthquake in porkistan couple of weeks ago..
These porkis are beyond any fixing, they need to be rebooted...

The way Black Water is behaving here, it looks like as if they have conquered our land. They should better quit our soil before a stage comes when the people will start beating them not caring even for their weapons which they carry with them. Yesterday Royal TV Channel had aired three hours long programme on their activities in Islamabad and Peshawar, surprisingly they talk to each other in Pashto to show if they are Pashtuns. They have fortified their compounds and blocked main roads in Peshawar for the Peshawarites. If they are friends of Pakistanis, then they must show it by their actions and behaviour. I would say again that we hate both Black Water and Taliban and Alqaida. The Alqaida people should go back to their countries of origin and enforce Sharia there, We don' t need it rather we want peace on our soil.

Mr Khan Saab-- In all probability I will not be able to debate this with you as your mind is made up backed by the the hours long program on your TV channel. I have heard that there have been hours and hours long programs on your TV networks about how 9/11 was our own doing to malign Islam!!!
A question I will ask you though-- Blackwater has nearly 1Billion dollars in annual revenue , some one must have paid them an enormous sum to take this risk . Their top management will face jail terms to go against their own government's policy , and they will be banned from participating in the federal procurement process that is their bread and butter. I understand their main contracts are in guarding american diplomats and in training areas ,so who in your opinion or the elite TV program's that you watched is paying them to risk bankcruptcy of the company?

dear khan saab,
youm present post has forced me to reply though i have some respect for you in persdonal level. you have been misinformed on the affairs of the state of india and some thing has misguided you that we indians have to kill minorities. you have mentioned of assam, tamil nadu, mizoram, bodoland(it is in the state of assam). there have been some problems(except tamilnadu where no problem have been seen) in these places but they are now peaceful places. secondly, indian forces , sometimes, have to take violent measures when they encounter a violent anti state forces. what i want to tell is that indian forces donot take action by asking any person about his religion, language etc.

Yeah I do agree with you but what forces me to resort to such language is the language of some of the Indians using against Pakistan on this Forum. I know that Indian Army has never used artillery, tanks, gunships and jet bombers in these militants' infested areas which means that the level of insurgency in these Indian states is much lower than the level of insurgency in NWFP, FATA and Balochistan where Pakistan Army are using all sorts of weapons except the nukes. This means that Pakistan Army are faced with an insurgency of much higher level than the insurgency in these Indian states. However, Indian writers must avoid using derogatory remarks against my country. I hope you agree with me that lets write logics here instead of using cheap language.

dear khan saab,
i am not a Umpire in this forum and i dont think i have the right to judge what is right or what is wrong. what i can do is to present my views in such a way that i think it is the appropriate way. as you have raised an issue on the strategies adopted by your forces in operations, i want to give few lines on it. use of any strategies (which includes the use of military hardwires)in an operation must be taken after due consideration. this is also important when you are fighting an non convensional war/battle.srilankan forces had own by using the strategy similar to you but soviets had failed in afganistan and americans had failed in vietnam.

I believe Mr Khan Saab did not think my question worthy of an answer!
In re to Mr Debasis Behera' comment ' american strategy in Vietnam'
It was not the strategy , the US forces' hands were tied due to all the laws of the USA as it was not a declared war by the congress, many officers and soldiers were tried in the USA during that time for wrong doing that in most other countries would have been thought of as the due course of fighting meaning in ridiculous terms they could fire to the right but not left or forward or face court martial.

dear ross,
you have misinterpreated my comments. the actual point of discussion between me and mr khan saab was the strategy of using military hardwire in a war where the enemy uses unconvensional ways to fight with you . you can get a picture of my views after reading my post along with the post sent by khan saab to whom i had answered.however i am agreed to the point that restrictions on the soldiers can have negative effect on achiving the militasry objective.
