Why does the western Media support Benazir Bhutto when she is convicted of monetary irregularities by a reputed Swiss Court in Switzerland? Will this give the Pakistani people relief or trouble?

The CIA provided a stream of accurate reports to the Reagan / Bush administration that Pakistan’s Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was making nuclear weapons-grade uranium throughout the 1980’s. Reagan / Bush did absolutely nothing to stop it because Pakistani ISI was helping Usama bin Laden, al Qaeda, and Taliban to oust the Soviets out of Afghanistan. The Russians wanted to control Afghanistan for future oil and gas pipelines from the Caspian Sea Oil and Gas Region.

Now fast forward to October 2001, CIA questioned two senior Pakistani scientists Sultan Bashiruddin Mahmood and Chaudry Abdul Majid and they said Pro-Taliban feelings extend beyond the Pakistani Army, the ISI, it is right into Pakistan’s nuclear-weapons laboratories. Dr. A.Q. Khan confessed that he helped with the Pakistani government assistance, to sell nuclear technology to Libya, North Korea, Iran, and Malaysia. These Pakistani nuclear scientists have close ties to radical Islamic terrorists groups.

George “Ignorant Iraqi Oil” Bush did not do anything about Pakistan’s government selling nuclear technology to Libya, North Korea, Iran, and Malaysia. The CIA had 100% proof of this and George “Incompetent” Bush came out publicly with the truth on October 16, 2002, only 5 days after the Congress voted for Military Force against Iraq. Ignorant Bush also sold F-16 aircraft to Pakistan.

US 'planned attack on Taleban'
http://tinyurl.com/ysruq
Tuesday, 18 September, 2001

A former Pakistani diplomat has told the BBC that the US was planning military action against Osama Bin Laden and the Taleban even before last week's attacks.

Niaz Naik, a former Pakistani Foreign Secretary, was told by senior American officials in mid-July that military action against Afghanistan would go ahead by the middle of October.

He said that he was in no doubt that after the World Trade Center bombings this pre-existing US plan had been built upon and would be implemented within two or three weeks.

And he said it was doubtful that Washington would drop its plan even if Bin Laden were to be surrendered immediately by the Taleban.

Bin Laden benefits from U.S. focus on Iraq
September 9, 2007
http://tinyurl.com/26e9vg
KABUL, Afghanistan — Six years after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, many presume that the man behind the murders of nearly 3,000 people is hiding in the tribal areas that straddle the Afghan-Pakistani border, not far from where he evaded American forces and their Afghan allies in 2001.
Osama bin Laden reappeared Friday after nearly three years in a rambling half-hour video that U.S. intelligence officials said appeared to be authentic and to have been made recently.
That bin Laden apparently has been able to survive says a lot about the problems the United States faces in bringing him to justice.
At the same time, the Bush administration's campaign in Iraq has diverted troops, money and equipment from the hunt for bin Laden since late 2001, and Pakistani forces aren't able to operate effectively on their side of the border.

Aid to al-Qaida?
Dollars sent to tribal regions of Pakistan could end up in exactly the wrong hands
http://tinyurl.com/3y7492
It's bad enough that a new report from U.S. intelligence agencies concludes that al-Qaida is back to full strength and threatens another attack on U.S. soil six years after the Bush administration vowed to eliminate it.

It's worse to know that the failure to pursue al-Qaida in the mountains of western Pakistan made it possible for the terror network to regroup under the protection of tribal leaders in provinces bordering Afghanistan.

It's worse yet to have the report confirm that Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf's peace deal with those same leaders allowed al-Qaida to recruit and train new fighters, and that the war in Iraq enabled the group to create a fearsome magnet for jihadists in the Persian Gulf.

All that amounts to a dismal report card on the progress of the administration's fight against terrorism.

Europeans Get Terror Training Inside Pakistan
FRANKFURT, Sept. 9 — The accused conspirators in a bombing plot disrupted last week in Germany were part of what the authorities say is a small, but growing, flow of militants from Germany and other Western countries who are receiving terrorism training at camps in Pakistan. http://tinyurl.com/2smmt2
Beginning early last year, at least five of the suspects traveled to the tribal regions of Waziristan, where they learned to prepare chemical explosives and military-grade detonators that they intended to use to build three car bombs, according to German officials and a confidential German intelligence document that details the allegations.

So we should have stopped funding Musharraf and sent troops in to further destabilize the country? That worked great in Iran in the late 70's. In the name of democracy we pulled the plug on the Shah and got 30 years of insane Islamic fundamentalist rule.

Newsday must flip a coin to decide which view to harp. A few days ago the editorial warned "its the nukes" and that a destabilized Pakistan was a risk to the West. Today, the editorial praises Bhutto who supported the Taliban with guns and money while they harbored Osama. Plus she is well-known as a corrupt poliitician who stole over a billion dollars while she led the "people's party."

White House knew there were no WMD: CIA
http://tinyurl.com/fsd73
The CIA had evidence Iraq possessed no weapons of mass destruction six months before the 2003 US-led invasion but was ignored by a White House intent on ousting Saddam Hussein, a former senior CIA official said, according to CBS.
Tyler Drumheller, who headed CIA covert operations in Europe during the run-up to the Iraq war, said intelligence opposing administration claims of a WMD threat came from a top Iraqi official who provided the US spy agency with other credible information.
The source "told us that there were no active weapons of mass destruction programs," Drumheller said in a CBS interview to be aired on Sunday on the US network's 60 Minutes.

NATIONAL LAWYERS GUILD VOTES FOR IMPEACHMENT OF PRESIDENT BUSH AND VICE PRESIDENT CHENEY
The full text of the resolution can be found at http://nlg.org/convention/2007%20Resolu ... lution.pdf
November 5, 2007
http://tinyurl.com/227td4
November 5, Washington, D.C. The National Lawyers Guild voted unanimously and enthusiastically for the impeachment of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney at its national convention in Washington, DC. The resolution lists more than a dozen high crimes and misdemeanors of the Bush and Cheney administration and "calls upon the U.S. House of Representatives to immediately initiate impeachment proceedings, to investigate the charges, and if the investigation supports the charges, to vote to impeach George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney as provided in the Constitution of the United States of America."

The resolution provides for an NLG Impeachment Committee open to all members that will help organize and coordinate events at the local, state, and national level to build public participation in the campaign to initiate impeachment investigation, impeachment, and removal of Bush and Cheney from office without further delay.

The resolution calls on all other state and national bar associations, state and local government bodies, community organizations, labor unions, and all other citizen associations to adopt similar resolutions and to use all their resources to build the campaign demanding that Congress initiate impeachment investigation, impeach, and remove Bush and Cheney from office.

Report: France Told U.S. of Al Qaeda Hijack Plot Before 9/11
Monday, April 16, 2007
http://tinyurl.com/2dbjyu

PARIS — France's foreign intelligence service learned as early as January 2001 that Al Qaeda was preparing a hijacking plot likely to involve a U.S. airplane, former intelligence officials said Monday, confirming a report that also said the CIA received the warning.

Le Monde newspaper said it had obtained 328 pages of classified documents on Usama bin Laden's terror network that were drawn up by the French spy service, the DGSE, between July 2000 and October 2001. The documents included a Jan. 5, 2001, intelligence report warning that Al Qaeda was at work on a hijacking plot.

We wasted more than we can afford on Pakistan. Let us wake up, stop the $2 billion per month aid to Pakistan and the current situation will take care of itself.
