Gap year student Sam Woodhead, 18, was last seen on Tuesday when he left the Queensland cattle ranch where he had been staying A huge search has been launched for a British teenage backpacker missing after going for a run in the 40 degree heat of the Australian outback.

To trek alone in australia is dangerous. Ivan Milat made me think twice about treking alone. But then again I would go with 20-30 back packers to the outback.

He should have been with another person or group if it was his first time is what Im saying. I would go trekking alone if I was knowlegable in that area & I had survival skills like Bear Grylls
