Actually, judging by social media comments this week, Australians don't like it this way at all. Some people believe that the public and not the Caucus should vote for the party's leader. A politician campaigning for public support would need a lot of funding and would have to actually get out there and do that campaigning and work for the support. Australian politicians just visit shopping malls to kiss a few babies in front of media cameras. It's laughable at best really.

What does it say about the parent who allows their baby to be handled by a complete stranger for their photo opportunity who might also be a pedo ?

No coup.
Gillard orchestrated her exit to secure her pension benefits from possible police action.
She went willingly and for a very good reason.
Read on.
-
Gillard and Rudd did a secret deal brokered by Shorten.
So Rudd knew he would win, the whole thing
was stage managed.
-
Rudd gave Gillard an offer she couldn't refuse...
-
Julia has at risk $13 million dollars of benefits and entitlements post pa $200k plus $150k car
office travel etc per annum, for life fully indexed -
say over 30 years, thats easily worth $15 million in value),,,,
But. If she is charged and convicted over her role in the AWU thefts, then all her entitlements are voided on a criminal conviction of more than a
year if prior or during parliamentary life.
-
There is an active police investigation on Gillard.
The charges if she was convicted would exceed
a year or so accumulatively for her role in fraud
& theft.
-
The status from several tracking sites re this is
that the police have had enough evidence on
Gillard and others involved to lay charges for some months now.
-
Rudd was responsible for leaking all the details
on the AWU theft & bringing it as pressure.

Not as revenge but as a pressure point to knock out and leverage the union factions who have all
been heavily complicit in systematic organized large scale fraud.(AWU & HSU are just tip of the iceberg).
-
Rudd then parlayed with Shorten to get the extra
20 votes needed. Shorten was told by gillard to fold / shorten himself is deeply involved in the cover ups as well.
-
Roxon, also deeply involved panicked and took
her money and ran, but Gillard was trapped as Rudd closed in on her.
-
Gillard took the offer a month ago. Shorten was told on June 3rd.
-
What you saw yesterday, was a stage managed
swapout, with cliched role plays to the media giving what they want to hear.

Gillard is happy - she was a useless PM anyway and found she was hated and out of her depth.
-
So she took the deal / gets to hold on to the last couple of days and max payout / and then Kevin
gets his old job and ego back, and humiliates
those who knifed him.
If you listen to what Rudd and Shorten say : this is exactly what has now occured.
-
Julia will now evade prosecution so she can get her money.
Because Rudd has given her an indemnity or a guarantee. It's a simple as that.
-
It's clear from deal that :
1. there is one law for us and one for them.
2. Rudd is a bad as Gillard, Roxon, Shorten,
Ludwig, Conroy and all the other corrupt people
in labor now.
-
That's what happened tonight - a stage managed
backroom deal.
-
Ugly, tacky, predictable

Legally speaking a deal like that could only be achieved if Kevin Rudd wins the next election and if he doesn't the police would have nothing to stop them from releasing their findings to their governments attorney general .

Well I suppose the best thing Labor can do is windup and disappear forever then we won't have more bullshit to contend with ,eh Foo ?

Just read that there is an enquiry into Qld Racing that a lot of money was paid out by demoted Capt Bligh that looks a bit dodgy.

I don't think Kevin and his gang of 57 will be with us for long. Changing Julia for Kevin was like putting lipstick on a pig.
The ALP has a history of imploding, followed by a long period of navel gazing, and here we go again !!
