Nowasdays North Korea has been bragging out its 'Victory Day' commemoration celebration. They invite many foregin delegations and are planning to hold various events. Well, well, well, do you know what the truth is?

North Korea designated the day July 27th, 1953 when the Korean War armistice was signed as the “Day of Victory in the Fatherland Liberation War,” or “Victory Day,” and has counted it as one of national holidays ever since. By the way, the funniest thing is the fact that, in fact, North Korea was defeated in Korea War. North Korean Army had been mostly defeated and retreated to the nearly end of Korean peninsula by UN troops except in the early phase in 1950 when Kim Il sung made the preemptive strike against South Korea. After Chinese army crossed over River Aprok(borderline) to help Kim Ilsung's army they were barely salvaged. And then the South and the North UN signed Armistice Agreement. That's all! In other words, North Korea in its war was defeated. Then they have claimed that they defeated UN and South Korean Army. Why?

It is primarily because of dictator Kim Il Sung's political conspiracy. Kim Ilsung attacked South Korea very sneakly but he totally failed to communize South Korea. So he had to take the responsibility for the war. If he were to concede defeat, he would be fallened from his throne. On the other hand, if he could be said to have “successfully resisted an American attack,” then the War could be remembered as one in which the North achieved some kind of victory.

Ever afterward North Korea started to praise Kim Il Sung’s victorious achievement. Here is another aiming. The North also claims that under Kim Il Sung's leadership they able to fight and gain dominance over the American and South Korean forces. North Korea maintains that thanks to the Korean War, it was able to humiliate the U.S., which takes pride in its long history of victory in war. This humiliation was in itself a victory for the North.

Can you accept this kind of rhetoric? Most South Korea don't understand North’s victory celebration. I think you are the same with us. Please don't be silly to go blind following with their simple propaganda.
