when all this snafu began I told my wife "of course they have nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them." Two missle tests to see where they would reach with the thought of mounting a nuke warhead atop a missle and sending it on its way. The Pentagon says they have the means but not the accuracy. Who gives a shit about accuracy when they can just lob a bomb over a populated area. Read about ground bursts and air bursts. Which one would take out the most lives. Also read that when the bomb goes off, it generates temperatures in the several million degree range, enough to vaporize plants, and human life! And that is just the heat wave, then you get the blast effects and the vacuum phase where everything is sucked back into the rising mushroom cloud. Over the next several days you will have radioactive dust falling on everything. Just a matter of time when people contract leukemia and start dying off. NK isn't stupid even though they too might be affected by fallout.

We are aware that North Korea has nuclear weapons deliverable by ballistic missiles.
With that being said, will Kim Jong Un deploy these missile? The answer is a resounding YES.

He has to in order for him to save face with his military regime. He has put himself in a corner leaving no exit other than nuclear attack.

Now who will he attack?

Most likely his target will be Japan.

Guam is a possibility as he hates the USA, however, it is a little too far to guarantee a clear hit for them.
Japan however is close and since the USA is an a ally of Japan, striking Japan would incite the USA which is what NK wants.

Intelligence suggests NK will launch tomorrow April 15th.

May God help us all.

Are you really General Thurman S. Sullivan?? If so why the name Pentagon? Why not just go with your name... I personally think your not.. Just because there was a guy on these posts calling himself Denis Roddman, and another person named Tom Cruise... I think people are trying to hop on the internet celebrity bus... But I may be wrong and seriously mistaken.. If you are who you say you are.. Then my apologies to you good sir. Just try to understand where I'm coming from please. Thanks!!!

Actually, no-one is aware of that at all.
their last nuke test showed they are in the process of miniaturizing a weapon so it would be small enough to place on a missile. whether they have achieved that or not is not known for sure.
to date, they hove launched one single missile capable of long range strikes. many have failed. if you look at most nations attempts to develop long range missiles, the first few have very low success rates.
hence, with all the facts gathered to date, the probability that the DPRK could launch a nuke on a long range missile is almost nil.

facts are fun!

A nuclear device can be put into a missile, bomb, cargo plane, train car, truck or portable container.

NK has tunnels under the DMZ. It has ballistic launches, submarines, bomber aircraft, trains & trucks.

You can shot down a missile or bomber plane but that doe not guarantee that it will stop it from detonating.

If the south is invaded, thy can truck in the device.

Nuclear threats should never be under-estimated.

Actually, son, a Defense Intelligence Agency released a classified report to Capital Hill yesterday revealing that NK has nuclear weapons deliverable by ballistic missiles...note the heading name of this blog.
Fission weapons were the first nuclear weapons built and have so far been the only type ever used in warfare. The active material is fissile uranium (uranium with a high percentage of U-235) or plutonium (Pu-239), explosively assembled into a chain-reacting critical mass by the following preferred Implosion method...
Implosion: a fissile mass of either material (U-235, Pu-239, or a combination) is surrounded by high explosives that compress the mass, resulting in criticality.
What NK has done (no real surprise as all nuclear nations have perfected this) was to decrease the implosion distance needed to compress the mass...hence you have a smaller warhead for deployment.
Unfortunately, Intelligence tells us that Kim Jong Un is NOT playing a game here to win concessions from the USA.
He is Hell bent on war and painted himself into a corner of which he has no path out and in which to save face with his military regime (in his Eastern way of thought).
* Note *
To pig bennis...
My apologies son, I am at my job today but my note is my view not officially the Pentagon's.
(However, please bear in mind the report released to Capital Hill yesterday is still 'Classified' as noted in this blogs heading. You draw your own conclusions.)

TS Sullivan - did you see that movie "the manhattan project?" the kid made a geodesic sphere with photomods arranged in the sphere and explosives that will implode into the critical mass - the plutonium he stole.
the explosives will fissal compressing the critical mass which will then explode outwardly starting the nuclear reaction.
thermo-nuclear reactions produce immense amounts of heat - a few million degrees fahrenheit which will vaporize everything around ground zero, surface or air blast, followed by the shock wave, then there will be a vacuum, sucking everything back into the rising air column and up into the atmosphere. not a pretty sight. how come so many people are so ignorant about what happens when a nuclear device goes off?
yes, the less experienced fellow will push the button because he does not wish to have his comrades lose faith in him or his father. the US said an eye for an eye - do you think the US will retaliate?

Good evening,

I just read a news report that Dennis Rodman is going to return to North Korea August 1st.
Does anyone know if the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un would listen to Mr Rodman negotiate PEACE? I understand that they are best friends I believe? Would this work to prevent war?
The only problem I see is that August 1st may be too late? Shouldn't President Obama send Dennis Rodman to North Korea now!?

Dennis Rodman quote earlier today:
"I'm going back to North Korea August 1. We have no plans really, as far as what we're going to do over there, but we’ll just hang and have some fun."

OMG I just read the same thing as Susan Day!

If Dennis Rodman is best friends with the leader of NK then shouldn't he be over there now preventing war????

Why doesn't the President send Dennis Rodman over there!!

Dennis Rodman negotiating peace with North Korea!?

Give me a break!

Mr Rodman has no experience in that area!

His strength is in National Economic Policy!

USE gov't is corrupt as always. The US is in so much debt, they provoke NK and NK gets pissed off, and soon enough war will break out. Because war makes money. That's what the US wants. I don't agree with NK totalitarian state either, NK is messed in the head. Both governments need to collapse. The US economy will collapse when China starts selling the worthless US dollar. US is no longer a super power, plagued by greed and lies.

The NK leader is still young, negotiator should change way in negotiating, if Rodman can penetrate his deepness. Then think now.

US intel is a joke, odumbo doesn't even attend the briefings. when the prez is briefed like with benghazi then gets it all wrong. remember benghazi was a film protest march, not a terrorist attack.

the old adage that the 2 words 'government' and 'intelligence' just cannot be used straight faced in the same sentence.

Does NK have nukes? yes they test them. do they have icbms ? they test them. so can they lob nukes on a missile? you guess if they can do 3 out of 3. hint: the russkies gave them miniaturization tech in 2004, that was when there was a prez that kept up with actual intel and the military didn't see themselves commanded by a military hating baboon.
