We just grew another set of eyeballs (the Internet) and we're adjusting to yet another set of dimensions to deal with.

Where 30 years ago we lived from day to day, today it's minute to minute and when our Super Media tells us in one burst that California is on fire; China's growth is extending into the Caribbean; the Euro is replacing the Dollar; Salmonella is in air conditioning ducts; McCain has arthritis; Obama farted... you get the picture.

It's enough to make high anxiety a way of life. But don't go running for your passport just yet. Stick around for another installment of American Idol or Meet the Press or Angelina Jolie's twins.
