What exactly are the people afraid of whenever a sex offender is released? What the people are afraid of is the mental illness behind sex offender crimes, not the sexual acts involved in sex offending. My ex-wife was terrified of me years ago when she separated from me everytime i wanted to say hi to the children she would scream sex offender to the Ontario Provincial Police in Geraldton, Ontario eventually the OPP lied about me running a road block in Geraldton, Ontario, why isn't Dorothy Shawayahamish not doing anything about Phil Brandon in Hamilton, Ontario he sells Dorothy's daughter Amanda to all sorts of men he beats her in the car in the parking lot of Pearson International Airport with people looking at him, is he different because he is white and Amanda my daughter is Ojibway and I am Ojibway my son Jon Amanda's brother saw the whole episode Phil Brandon went through, but I couldn't even say hi to my kids and she considered me a sex offender. Love you Christian brothers Catholics and Mormons especially Barry Kitchkeesic

Well, my opinion is that sex offenders should be watched because they plead that they "just can't help it" pedophilia(or however its spelt...) is appearently a mental disorder. So I don't think that these people are horrible people... They just need help. Violating their right by registering them is not the way to go. Show some compassion.

Why is when we hear "Sex Offender" we automatically think Pedophile. If a man exposes himself to 80 yr old women, he will now go on the registry and people will automatically think he is a Pedophile. Society is so paranoid. I agree that some Offenders need watching and if you look at the registry they have varying levels to offenders from Low Risk to High Risk. Those deemed high risk usually get on that state because they deserve to be monitored. Also those that don't re-offend are removed from the list after 10 years.(Second Offence means permantly on list). So the problem is not the list but the ignorance of society to understand what constitutes a "Sex Offender".

Barry, I have seen the racial segregation of Aboriginals in NWO by the Police and Justice Systems. There are those in power now trying to change it but it takes time. Have faith my friend.
