Bone thugs you say? I really like Eazy-E as a lyricist and admired or rather do admire his talent for delivering hard hitting lyrics packed with humour. RIP little man!

For Blues I like Howlin Wolf and the forementioned Seasick Steve. Sometimes Johnny Winter too. And a guy called Dock Boggs who was born late 19th century and died 20th who played Blues/Appalachian folk on banjo.

I like some of the Rock bands and most of the Hard Rock/Metal bands you mentioned, AC/DC, Hendrix and the earlier Metallica albums.

Love Dimebag D and I would have posted that video or Walk if I was gonna post a link to a Pantera vid. Dont know if you have heard it, but after Pantera, him and his brother joined up with sometimes controversial country music star David Allan Coe and released a country influenced Heavy Metal album, under the name Rebel Meets Rebel. So I will post a link to that instead!

Eazy-E - with a song worth adding to you Christmas song list if you are bored with the rest.

Some will know this classic Raggae from a certain TV program.

To be honest 43poundtornado, I love a variety of music. Still hard rock fan at heart and was a late bloomer with raggae...my nieces & nephews have opened my ears to all this new raggae lately! and I must say it makes a nice change (so my wife reckons!) ;)

Hahah. I hear that. My girlfriend says my music tastes are pure crap. Too bad for her though she has no idea what she is talking about!

Nothing wrong with picking up influences from other people – but since you are their uncle – just make sure you return the favour and tell them about the classics!
