16 is a child. His act has scared a little girl forever. In a country the size of New Zealand his name will soon be known. After his name is know his family will be scared. His community will be scared. His school will be scared. He will never have a future. Every place he goes his deed will follow him. Even with the maximun time as an adult in jail he will be remembered. His life is over here in Aotearoa. He has given himself a life time curse. I have no pity for him. I do have pity for his family, school and community.

There is no excuse or lies that this 16 year old can come up with, he knew what he was doing, he knew it was wrong yet he did it therefore no sympathy should be shown towards him.
He is quite sane and should go through a hard trail.
If it was a 16 year old girl, it would be easy to understand the admiration or affection, peer pressure, puberty etc but a 5 year old, this is just sick. He is sick. He should be locked up or else there will be another victim.

I agree with you. But I do have sympathy for his family and community. His act scared more than a little girl and her family.

Everyone that did the profiling work on here earlier didnt seem to guess the age part, bit of a surprise that one.
I'm picking this will be used combined with the alcohol card for his reasoning, I suspect he was drinking.
Something like, Nice boy, been to party nearby, dispicable act was totally out of character due to being too young to handle alcohol.
Id put a dollar down thats what we'll hear when he goes to trial later.

I'm sure if Michael Laws was commenting he'd say we can all guess at what ethnicity this kid is. Slurs aside I think NZ society needs to ask why these statistical patterns keep occurring. The "bury your head in the sand" approach of ignoring reality will not help our attempt at hopefully resolving these issues. Wake up NZ, we have a major problem here. Let's work together in firstly acknowledging the issue and secondly working out how to help those who are obviously floundering in modern society.

Since I posted that, yea the mongrel is now pleading guilty. The reason I suspected he had been drinking was because he came from a nearby mongrel mob pis-up. Theres been obvious damage control happening with the families association there. No suprise he didnt front up in his red clothes to court...blardy sick mongrel culture...

Maybe not. According to the DOJ, about 80% of all reported crime in NZ is committed by males, with a disproportionate percentage of that between the ages of 15-25 years.
