Arriving in to Marrakech - Marrakech, Morocco

Morocco is serious about tourism as the country’s primary export for the future. The Moroccan Government has embarked on a national tourism strategy that aims to increase the number of foreign visitors from 2.2 million currently to 10 million by 2010. Under “Vision 2010”, the Moroccan Government has guaranteed to provide the necessary infrastructure to connect coastal resorts with the rest of the country and Europe by constructing 1,000 kms of new roads, increasing internal and international flights, and developing new regional airports. Morocco now has an ‘Open Skies’ flying agreement with the EU which means that cheap European flights will soon start to fly into Morocco. As a result, the property market in Morocco is just starting to boom and provides an outstanding investment opportunity.
Please feel free to ask any question to helpin investing in Morocco about buying land or properties or just traveling to Morocco. Best Regards A.Myasilah E:myasilah@gmail.com http://www.myasilah.com |

How is the public transport now?
Earlier it sucks you have either to take your private tourist taxi which costs a fortune or take normal taxi and there put in six in addition of the taxi drives in the same car which I find ridiculous and the coaches are not very reliable except the CTM company but this last doesn’t have access to all the cities. Hope that have thought of that too |

There is still much thing to work on. To take a taxi from Marrakech Airport to Marrakech the city or the railway, taxi drivers refuse to use the meters and ask 100 Dirhams which is over priced for such small distance.
There still the transparency of the prices issue which Morocco should work on. It makes the journey much easier if you know what to expect paying rather than each seller charge you depending on your ignorance of the market. |

the immigration at the airport are bloody rood and they are eating and drinking and taking ages not welcoming tourist, so unprofessional and this behavior surely is going to put people off from going back big shame.

Well, my story was slightly different if I'm not saying worse than yours: I had very big smile in Mohamed V Airport in Casablanca from the police who usually stamps entry in your passport when you arrive and when I smiled back thinking it's the same like in UK people speak ant chat while doing their work the Policeman told me wow you haven't been in Morocco for more than 6 years and he asked me some money

You forget my friend when you get any kind of Cab,(Petit Taxi) or (Grand Taxi)in Morocco, the Fucking Driver never change his socks and maybe he didn't get a bath for the last three months or even change his cloths , it's stinks with a lots Germs, I can't stand that,I love my country & I will never forget where I was born or grew up but it's too ashame & embarassing .....and also the rental Cars are fucking high too expensive but the best part is when you are driving it it will fall apart, and hotels which they call 4 stars or 5 stars they have some fucking imaginable prices without a good costomers services.....If Morocco want to get 10 millions tourist , first moroccan has to feel responsible for keeping the allies, streets, roads clean, and not through the carbage anywhere the like, in the mean time the all governement employees from Top to the low level has to do his job duty with honesty & integrity,....I think strongly Morocco is a wonderful & fabulous place but us the peoples of Morocco from the rich to the poors who fucks our country as everybody screw the country in his own way, but once we feel reponsible about what we have done to our country and who we are then I think Morocco will be the next Disney Land,

Well my story was little different. They jailed me for prostitution and lack of hygiene as I have let them know I drink my pee.

The taxi driver tried to charge me 2000 dirhams to go a 5 minute ride (rail station to Hasan II monument.)The sun and weather was ideal in March, the air smelled great with all the citrus and gardenia in bloom. At the medina, I bought some keychains for souvenirs; the seller took it to the back of the store to wrap and I found out when I got home that he had kept half of what I paid for. On the sightseeing tour, most of the "sights" were hotels. If I want to see hotels, I'll go to Vegas. People were friendly

What's missing in Islam/Muslims is what we take for granted in the Free World. Even the stupidest fundy knows he sort of has to have some kind of substance to hold up his end of an argument. They know at least a little bit about reasoning things out and objectivity. These Muslims DO NOT. They are taught not to question anything from childhood. There is NO skepticism, no critical thinking, not a whisper of challenge to any authority. The ideas of debate that seems so obvious to the west has no relevance to the Islamic world AT ALL. That's why they seem to talk nonsense. It doesn't seem like nonsense to them. They do not see that they fail to support their views, or that they fail to address questions and when I point out contradictions and hypocrisies they either simply ignore them, can't recognize them or just resort to cursing and insults. They cannot debate. They cannot reason. They don't have any perspective but "Islam is correct. I am a Muslim, therefore I am correct."
This mindset has kept them frozen in time in science, for one thing, while they used to be a fountainhead of science. Their statistics of morbidity/mortality re. women and children under 5 are disastrous in Islamic countries, regardless of development. They live in poverty, disease, and violence, absolutely convinced of their superiority. Pathetic. |
