I read so many stories about maroccan men that I started to wonder:is it the same with women? My brother(43)met on one of the web sites a maroccan girl(19)some 8 months ago. They already met twice in Marocco. They are planning to marry when he will get a divorce,so he got a job contract for her so she can come to Spain legally before that.He also sends her quite a lot of money. For me it is quite obvious what she is up to,but maybe I am wrong? Of course,he wont listen to any of my arguments saying that arab women are very different from the western ones and that she would never do a thing like that.Im very worried about him and hope to get some advice here.

It could really be love between the two of them. Of course some Moroccan women use western men for visas. Some people would do almost anything to get themselves out of a horrible situation and this is not held exclusively to Moroccans. As much as you may believe yourself to be right about this woman, support your brother so that you dont lose that relationship. If he and this woman don't work out, just be there for him as a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear. Who knows, she may turn out to be the real deal.

Mehmet Troy,

wow, can your brother get ME a job contract in Spain? Must be nice... haha, sorry. I don't mean to seem like I'm making light of the situation, I just really wish I were living in Europe right now. So seriously, can he? As to your question about the Moroccan woman. The only insight I can offer you is what I know about Muslim women's rights to marry. A muslim man may marry whom he chooses, regardless of his future wife's religion. Muslim women, on the other hand, cannot marry outside the religion. Interesting double-standard. It also depends on how devout and/or open-minded her family is. Is she from a good family (economically)? What's her educational background? I'd assume the red flags would be the same regardless of the gender. In other words, is she always asking for money (especially in exorbitant amounts)? Has she ever asked your brother to help her get work or a visa in Spain? Things like this can be a red flag, but don't have to be necessarily.... I'm engaged to a Moroccan guy. I feel like I have a pretty decent handle on this topic, so if you have any other questions or concerns, shoot.

Yes,Lula,Ive heard about Rachid. They say he is jewish gay who lives with his mother in a dungeon and never crawls out because of his ugliness.Yet,I sometimes like his freaky sense of humour.Im not turkish.Im polish and my name is not Mehmet:) Moriyah,as I wrote before, the spanish economy is collapsing so the goverment removed most of the professions from the list for contracts. Now you must be a dentist, optician or hairdresser to get a contract(there is one more but i dont remember what it is).But every country has its own list of jobs. About that "girlfriend" of my brother...Her family is middle-class,in moroccan terms of course, they have a nice house and dont seem to be poor. Her sister is married to a belgian guy and lives in Belgium so it also seems it would be quite easy for her to get visa to Europe if she wanted only that. She never asked about work and I think that she rather prefers the men to take care of money:)She did a few times ask for money, but not for large sums.Although, generally my brother already sent her quite an amount:) I have a lot of doubts about her,but maybe I should let my brother do what he wants with his life and money?

My fiance from Morocco said he believes 95% of the Moroccan women will prostitute for money. He also says they only want money and greed and do not look into a Moroccan man's heart to see what is truly there so therefore they are becoming less interested in their own. He even referred to them as whores.

I just returned from a month in Casablanca and saw a lot of prostitution going on. Apparently, the government has allowed this because there is no work and most cannot read so they charge themselves out to anyone to earn money to live. Not all Moroccan womaen do this of couse but money is hard to come by.

prostitution is the oldest profession throughout the history of humanity. In morocco it is maybe due to poverty, whereas in some "developed" countries it is due nymphomania. Position yourself then...
