Deen, you forgot to add that the Quran says “Muslims are the noblest community ever raised [by Allah] for mankind. You [Muslims] enjoin justice and forbid evil. You [Muslims] believe in God" Ali-Imran 3:110. Your Quran also repeatedly says Muslims can find light and guidance in the Torah and the Gospel of Jesus; they are a guide and an admonition to the righteous. Al-Maida 5:44-46. It says if Muslims observe the Torah and the Gospel of Jesus, and the good revelations from their Lord, they will receive two-directional blessings from Allah. Al-Maida 5:66.

That being the case, why do most Muslims and their societies often find themselves being the last or among the last in most areas of worthy human endeavors? If they are first, often times, it is the wrong way up. Why? Why are they the most or among the most accursed in the world?

Why are they not building great schools of learning? Or great universities? Or successful nation-states like Israel and Singapore or South Korea or Japan, etc which are not endowed with abundant natural resources? Why are non-Muslims more intellectual, creative and resourceful people when compared to Muslims despite the latter’s enormous advantages? After all, Muslims were once leading in science and technology.

Why are many of the leaders of the Muslim nations educated or preferred to be educated in Christian schools, colleges and universities---leaders like Musharraf, Benazir Bhutto, and those in Saudi Arabia, etc, etc? Even in Muslim countries, like Malaysia where Muslims enjoy unfair advantages (despite what Ali-Imran 3:110 says, that Muslims enjoin justice), why are Muslims and their societies still lagging behind the non-Muslims and Christians? In Singapore, it is also true that though Muslims here are way ahead of the Muslims in other countries, they are still lagging behind the non-Muslims. Here, many of our leading schools are Christian schools. None is from the noblest community of mankind. Why?

The main reason is, non-Muslims have great faith in the goodness of the Quran and Hadiths, while most Muslims think Islam should be practiced in its purity for their continued backwardness and benightedness, in their upside-down belief that this is the way to show the world how strong and superior Islam is.

I, for one believe, Islam can be and should be part of the solution for Muslims and their societies. But from the disappointing and benighted attitude shown by you and other Muslims in Topix's many Islamic forums, which is symptomatic of the Great Muslim Ummah, one has to be mentally retarded not to see the reason why.

Let me share with you the great story of the Bible. It begins with the story of God’s creation of the world and the first man and woman. This is an act of love. The world God created for us is a world that provides all that is needed for life.

Unfortunately, man’s sin has alienated him from God. Jesus told us the reason He came; Lu 19:10 "for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."

What was lost? 1Jo 1:3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. If you are lost in sin, you do not have that fellowship with God, He is distant and seems hard to know. How do we get back to God?

The Old Testament foretold a Messiah that would come who would bless mankind. Who is this blessing? Jesus the Christ! What does that mean for us? It is written, "... God was in Christ, offering peace and forgiveness to the people of this world. 2Co 5:19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 2Co 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. And he has given us (those who have asked Christ for forgiveness and received it and experienced his great love for us all) the work of sharing his message about peace. You can lknow for sure that you have been forgiven and have this peace within you. Make peace with God."

It means that God loves us so much that he sent his Son to reveal what He is like. He sent his Son to bring forgiveness to us. He sent his Son to promise us life in His presence forever. The most awesome truth in the world is that while all people have sinned, God still loves us so much that he made it possible for us to be forgiven and to know Him. Are you bothered by a hollow feeling, an empty feeling, that Allah is distant and you can’t find him? Do you long to be saturated with God’s peace and love?

You see, Islam is a religion. Religion involves doing things, saying prayers, keeping rituals. However, Christian faith is not a religion but a restored relationship. You can have a relationship with Jesus right now. There is no waiting to see what will happen to you at death. You can claim the promise of eternal life now and know that you are going to heaven when you die. Jesus told a religious man, Nicodemus, that he must be born again. A spiritual rebirth must take place now. Joh 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. There is no other way to go to heaven. Ac 4:12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

My greatest worry is that though there are certainly many virtues in their Prophet Mohammed (s.a.w) and good teachings in their Quran, sadly the upside-down minds of the mindless and gullible Muslims do not seem able or willing to accept all those goodness or to show their faith in them. That's why I am having such a big problem rallying Muslims to join with non-Muslims like me and with their Yemeni Muslim brethren to show faith and to help me promote the goodness of their Quran, such as the prayer of Prophet Suleiman in An-Naml 27:19 and Al-Hujurut 49:13.

But just four days ago, on 15th May, through an email to the Commander of Singapore Traffic Police, I shared with them the beautiful Prayer of Prophet Suleiman; consequently I succeeded yet again to help a poor motor-cyclist offender in his appeal over a traffic offence he had committed. How do I know? Because they replied my email to thank me for my input; they also expressed their willingness to show compassion to the offending motor-cyclist.

Now, if I, a non-Muslim, have so much faith in the goodness of their Quran and have repeatedly succeeded in using its goodness to help others solve many problems, why must the terribly upside-down Muslims seem only interested for the evil, the backwardness and benightedness which their Quran and religion of Islam have often been so successful creating them, but not their goodness---which can be the solution to their self-accursed state, namely to free themselves from the dreadful Curse of Isthlal?

i feel that to understand you have to experience, and i feel as part of my journey i have had to experience just how God feels and how we all feel when we disobey God, my life has been a disaster zone of wrong choices,obey desires,temptation,materialism , worshipping many other things other than God, marriage break up , heavy drinking and disobedient children because of lack of discipline, i am truly a sinner.

even after i recieved the word from God about the beginings of woes upon may 28th 2008, i was suddenly divulged with lustful desires, God spoke to me and told me to stay away, do not go there, i listened to God when he told me about future events and trusted him, yet i did not listen to God when he instructed me a gave me guidance in avoiding sin, i gave into temptation and committed an adulterous act with a married woman, and have done on so many occassions, prior to this through my life i have been unfaithful to my vows so i have been unfaithful to God.

i have been bankrupt because of debt and greed for materialistic things and lost everything i owned, i have not been the father i should have been to my children and now their lack of respect and disobedience is showing and i have not been the husband i should have been for my wife and we are separated. i have lost almost everybody i have ever loved my mum,my grandparents,good friends, close family.

why am i telling you this, well i have chased many things in my life and gave in to many desires, ive clung on to Jesus dearly through all my mistakes, yet i have soon let go and fallen over and over again, it hurts so much when i sin against God, a pain that i cannot describe, its like guilt but its not its a hurt that drives you insane because the pain we feel for letting God down is the same pain he must feel when we sin.
i cannot properly describe how i feel now, but nothing in my life makes me happy anymore, only when i'm close to God and i feel i have lost that closeness today because of my grievous sin and rejecting gods love for the sake of sexual gratification, i know how upset he must be because i love my children more than anything on this world, but when they disobey me,rude to me or disrespect me, i burn inside with anger so much, i am patient with them yet i am also very angry, and how more patient God is with us in his love for us even though he must burn with anger.

i hate myself so much for letting God down, i really do, my commune with God about the things to be i feel he showed me the horrors he is holding back because he loves us, i am proof that no matter what God gives us in some way we will let him down, i pray with all my heart that those events i saw and described never come to pass, that God holds back his judgement and gives the world another chance to repent, yet i look at my own life and the times i let God down over and over again and wonder how many more chances will God give me and after today i feel i have run out, i may take robert f's advice and throw myself in the sea, God has revealed to me many things about my mission for him, yet i wonder and pray, why me?, what good am i, what use?

AGI,, I hope you look to the Lord for healing. He will. I am like you in one way, I did things im still so grieved when I think of them. But I sought the Lord with all my heart soul mind and strength , and He showed me that I can not pay for what I've done
He already did. Looking at our own wretchedness keeps away from God's love and mercy. Is the Blood of Christ enough to cover them? Did it take away all sin? Heb 9:14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? The faith of the world is shaken and weak, prone to temptations and double mindedness although grounded in knowledge and theology, faith of the world very rarely gives God true glory that is rightfully his.
The world is both believing and unbelieving yet finds fault with faith and has separated itself to some extent from faith, although the world would like to join with faith, the world is not prepared to listen to faith and only wants faith if it is on the worlds terms and the way the world would like it.
The inhabitants of the world show much immaturity and often come between the world and faith to get their own way, and show little respect to either faith or the world unless they are getting their own way, yet they are more inclined to listen to the world even though the world is harsher to the people and only really accepts faith when faith gives the inhabitants what they want.

This is how God sees the world,faith and the inhabitants of his creation, and this is how God has showed me through my life, for the world has threw faith out, faith has gone from the world and has left the inhabitants also, yet faith has not forgot the inhabitants and comes to them always, they are happy with faith on their terms yet when faith questions them or rebukes them they become angry and show disrespect and will not listen and go back to the world and leave faith behind.

God has seen enough, God has shown me the way of the world, God will no longer contend with weak faith, a double sided world of belief and unbelief when it suits and will not contend anymore with disobedient children.
