Normally, I wouldn’t bother replying, but I think this needs an answer
I can't help wondering if "Subhash" and "American" have actually been to Africa.(And I don't mean a 5 star corporate, champagne and canapés-type luxury cruise down part of the Nile – not a trip to Africa- just a self-indulgent meaningless sojourn) Their collective ignorance is so blatantly evident in their naive, epigrammatic, seemingly uneducated, unfounded and uncorroborated whingeing.

. Do they know anything of the human history, persecution, torture, murder and abuse that was meted out to the original inhabitants of the planets most beautiful continent?(Their crass comments disgrace most of and us would indicate to the contrary)
In a loving way, I hope that they make a little time to actually study at least some of the long history of Africa (thereby allowing them some hope for contrition, forgiveness and a clearer understanding of how this world should be viewed) and attaining a more balanced view.(Could open your eyes, a little guys, but don’t thank me yet,) If it wasn't for the white man (of which I am one, and therefore ashamed of some of my European ancestors behaviour) subjugating an entire continent, climbing on it’s back with a whip and getting richer on it's natural resources (for which Europeans had no rightful claim) and taking millions of dollars and even more hostages (slaves abroad to North America and the Caribbean as well as being made slaves in their own lands, so many to their pitiful, inhuman deaths) then perhaps, they wouldn't have been disenfranchised, perhaps they could have been allowed to create their own wealth (instead of being robbed) and would not now be forced to ask for some form of restitution.

(DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH CHARITY – for you will prove again your blind ignorance of the truth – as you will see in a minute) But as history testifies, they were deprived of the very things that sustained them in their honour, proud ancient culture, modesty and humility. Despite being pillaged and exploited by your ancestors and mine not due in any small way to their 'perceived' lack of education, these people knew then (and still know now) how to respectfully interact with nature long before “so called civilised society” admitted that we had Global Warming issues,(we were wrong in our presumptions) admitted that we were contributing selfishly to the destruction of a multitude of eco-systems, accompanied by a total disregard for all the other creatures and aspects of nature and (unforgivably) many people “sold out” for the benefit of monetary gain without considering exactly what we would be leaving future generations (Consider the fact that, for the most part, Indigenous Africans co-existed for many more thousands of years than we "Westerners" have managed without being hell-bent on conquering our neighbours that look or speak differently than us, with which we may have a disagreement and indiscriminately killing anything we don’t understand along with our collective paranoia (True ignorance)

If your neighbour upsets you in some small way, do you kill him or just go home and be alone and reflect on your own limited sadness? Though I feel it's more enlightening to turn around and attempt an equal dialogue and try to understand their way of life and, who knows, they may even help you to understand and remedy some of your own confused ideals and introduce a new respect for all life, the most precious thing that we have been given. It is not for anyone else to say how others should live their life.
(Please tell me what damage the African Nation has done to your seemingly cocooned life?). You drink their coffee, you wear their jewellery, and you may even like some of the music that has descended from the “Cradle of mankind”(but I bet you don't even know it's roots). Much of what you devour from you local stores originates from there,(and they get paid slightly more than nothing) and it hasn’t yet poisoned you, unless you live just on Idaho potatoes or Canadian Salmon.
If someone robbed you of your farm, cattle, home, gave your daughters sexually transmitted diseases and left them emotionally scarred for life, and killed your young sons,(remember your "visitors" have guns and you have only sticks) and then discovered Gold or Diamonds under the very land that gave you a living and fed your beloved family, then they cast you out alone into nothingness with just the rags upon your back, would you not, one day, ask for democratic restitution (the very ideal of fair play since the days it was instigated in Athens, Greece - not Washington D. C.– sorry guys – a foreigner beat you to it!)
Not vengeance - for that is the Lord’s alone: from the very perpetrators that embezzled your progeny and utterly destroyed your harmless, peaceful future and dreams,
If you answer 'No' to this then you are of even a lower morale fibre than I already thought, because; "You would be lying" (and I find that very disappointing in anyone who titles themselves; "Human")
Unless you know better, God will be your judge, but I think it’s more likely Satan will be your receptionist. I would like to be wrong on that part because I urge you to open your mind, your hearts and consider how you would feel if God decided that you were going to born in the African Bush some years ago and you had to endure the multitude of travesties, severe hardship on an unforgiving continent and witness wholesale genocide and never have the possibility of sitting in a comfortable home in America or Canada, with access to a computer to spout the verbal excreta of which you now lie accused.
If you can accept any of what I have said, there is hope that you may yet open you mind. If not, and if you think what I said is garbage, then I’m OK with that and I hope you never get issued a passport, because you are better off (and that’s what really matter, doesn’t it?) where you are.
But please think about things before you commit yourselves to any serious opinions.
Finally, on the subject of “Madiba”(Nelson Mandela), unless you have fought for equality and fairness, succeeded in changing the future of an entire nation and restoring hope to millions of your fellow countrymen and providing hope for many millions more whilst languishing in a jail for 27 years, being tortured, beaten (just for your belief in democracy – the American Utopia) and totally denied any access to the outside world – 27 years- think about that!(And, on release, being elected president) and still maintaining a compassionate, forgiving and hopeful countenance and disposition, and have attained the genuine respect and true love of many millions of people throughout the world (who actually know something of his life story) Please GO AND RE

Thankfully, due to the abandonment of Apartheid, that has changed over the past 12-13 years, this has now been reduced to 26%, and with the understanding and support of the Tourism Industry industry is empowering her own people to get much needed jobs to the tune of 184,000 in just the past year. South Africa is a flower ready to bloom and comments and opinions like yours will only slow down that valuable process. I wonder what you would think if you'd been born in Soweto with AIDS, if you heard a person from Missouri saying you were asking for handouts ?
