'True patriot' gives all in Afghanistan

Jonathan P. Brostrom was the kind of person who did the right and necessary thing, a Damien Memorial High School teacher recalled yesterday.

As a young kid my idea of a "hero", was an athlete who performed with incredible talent in his or her field of sports endeavor. Today, as an adult, my idea of a hero is Lt Brostram, hands down!! And military warriors, male and female, like him. My prayers and aloha to Lt Brostram's family for they grieve the loss of their loved one.

Well pinhead, how about the U.S. Military invading Europe during both World War I and II- oops, did I say invade, or was it liberate, the European continent from one of the worst hostile invasions of the history of mankind. The United States, pinhead also took on the mightiest military power of the world at the time, England, twice in the 1770's and also in 1812. Also, pinhead, just what makes you think Hawaii would have been allowed to be free had it not "annexed" Hawaii at the turn of the 20th Century. I agree with Casual. I disagree with the unnecessary war in iraq and blame Bush for not finishing the necessary wear in Afghanistan. But Brostrom is not to blame for that. What a tragedy for his family and for all of us.

Aren't ALL military men/women at the front line "true patriots". I'm sorry ANY have to die and I think it's assinine to single out and paint any one individual as a "true patriot" when there's thousands out there.
