Same damn thing that happened to the arms into Libya. Either Qatar et. al. supplied them directly to salafist rebels while western states looked the other way or the west directly supplied their so-called moderate forces, who sold or bartered or lost them at gunpoint to the salafists who then proceeded to destabilize Mali.
And that's not the first occasion of this scenario unfolding. You'd think these can't-wait-to-intervene dead heads would finally learn from experience, eh?
