Dr. Ricardo Fierro, director of the Fierro Dental Clinic in Palomas, wants all of his patients to know, as Mark Twain once wrote of himself: the reports of his demise are greatly exaggerated.

i belive this rumor begin in the pink store because the owner sergio has a busines partnes in the back of the pink store to a not so profesional dentist and optometrist
so they made this stupid rumor for envy to bring busines for the partners because fierro have almost 40 years in busines and 80% of the people prefer dr fierro

i visit palomas and dr Ricardo fierro the clinic is god, her sterelising prosedures are the same than us, the only problem so i see it is the gang drougs,in town.
please visit them,and now the trouth.all mexican dds work in the same level than us dds in my oun experience,if you feel uncomfortable go more to south, guadalajara, tepic etc.

I heard today he was killed. I heard a border patrolmen was killed point blank, shot in the face. I don't know if true...but sad. Sad for the Dr., sad for Mexico, sad for the all us because I believe the violence will come to Deming.

If Dr. Fierro was alive dont you think they would let everyone know. They need more tourists to come in and spend money. Why has our newspaper not commented on it? I will just stay away.

Dr fierro was kidnapped into his clinic the thanksgiving of 2009. Today, 1 year after, their family never knows any notice of him. I know very well 'cause I work for one of his relatives.

Do you know how many stories about Dr. Fiero went floating around once he got kidnapped ? One was that he borrowed money from the drug cartel to build the hotel right next to his dental building and wasn't paying it back in a timely fashion. Another story was that one of Dr. Fiero's own sons was involved in all of this, Both sons have done time in jail for drug related incidents some say. Another story was that he was found quite some time after the kidnapping, his head in one area, his body in another. Of course our newspaper wouldn't print a lot of these killings, especially one that's as high profile as Dr. Fierro, very bad for tourism, that's why we're most probably so in the dark about the actual numbers of deaths in Palomas. One thing most are certain about is if he's still missing after all this time he's most probably dead, that's the story I believe. Once they're gone, they're gone. It's the loved ones that are left behind that suffer the most.

Been going there for some dental work and he used to always be there but since then never. Patient counts seem way down as well. I think they have 2 dentists on a regular basis, I guess the hotel is empty.

I'm not sure about Dr. Fiero but I have gone to the dentists next to the Pink Store and while I thought they might be OK I have since learned otherwise. They did 2 root canals for me and both had to be redone twice costing me eight trips to Palomas. Finally both teeth have become infected as a result of my last visit.
I could have gone to the most expensive dentists in Santa Fe or Taos and saved a lot of time and money.

If you can't afford to see a real dentist in the USA, I suggest you get a good pair of vice grips and have a friend pull your teeth rather than go to that flea infested rathole PALOMAS

Maybe be a rathole but the dentists at Fierro are better than my local US guy. I had 3 crowns and a root canal last month for $1000 and good work.
