JULIETTE Marie LEVEQUE has been mercilessly killed in Melbourne, while her close relatives like Alain LEVEQUE were bust insulting Hindus and Muslims in this forum.

This incident has seriously affected the image of Mauritius because Aussies now regard the island as one where there is lot of social trauma and instability. In fact, this "malaise" is characteristic only to a handful of Afro-Mauritian creoles like ALain Leveque who are mainly based in Melbourne.

The images of other Mauritians and creoles should not have been affected by that killing. But we are all on the same boat and until and unless the trauma-prone Afro-Mauritian creoles like Alain Leveque are not forced to behave correctly in the society, our image will keep getting tarnished.

They are still Indians as they are born in India and have a Indian culture for the most part while we have a french-creole culture that's the difference.
