The problem is political Zionism and the fact that Zionists in trying to create the "Jewish State" on top of historic Palestine have been systemically usurping Palestinian land, liberty and rights- creating and exasperating the largest, longest running refugee crisis in the world today.

Modern man made Israel is an investment in institutionalized bigotry and injustice which is only growing worse- more and more monstrous every day. Israel is Apartheid and Jim Crow gone crazy in a day and age when we really do know better. And thanks to its many talented propagandists it receives the lion's share of America's foreign aid: Our pubic schools can't have a moment of prayer (for good reason) but America funds and defends Israel's "Jewishness"?!

The occupation is only one symptom of a much larger problem: The very real plight of the harshly oppressed and persecuted Palestinians is the root of the problem- and rock solid proof that the idea of Israel as the (misnamed) Jewish State has been a huge disaster for countless people....only it is only growing worse.

The Palestinians have recognized that the peace processes with Israel are really negotiations for the Palestinians to "peacefully" give their country away to the Zionists.

Most Palestinians at this point have very little left to lose ----- witness the steady stream of suicide bombers coming out of the Palestinian community.

The assassination of Itzak Rabin was an absolute shock to me. He was killed by an extremist Israeli. This assassination was an attempt to throw a "monkey wrench"
into the peace process.

America --- with huge oil interests in the Arab world and a huge image problem with AIPAC seen as contolling the politicians ---- has no real credibility. The only way we can help settle this dispute is to give billions of dollars to each side to "compensate" them for making some concessions or compromises.

This needs to be solved by something like the UN.
Maybe we need a new something like a new UN?

That's the entire problem with the latest "hypothetical" peace agreement....It is totally one-sided!
Israel would be insane to give land back to people whose goal is very simple--Try to wipe the Jewish state off the map!Every day rockets are shot into Israel. The media is extremely biased against whatever Israel does. By giving land back, this will only make it much easier for the arabs to try and destroy Israel. Why is it that no arab country is willing to take the Palestinians into their country?

What I want to know is why none of the 33 muslim countries will give the Palestinians citizenship? They are related to most of the Arab nations, and yet the Arab states will not let them in. The land mass of the 33 muslim nations dwarfs Israel, & yet Israel is expected to give the homeless Palestinians land. How unfair is this. The Palestinians were never an organized group of people until Israel was given back part of it's homeland after WWII. Israel first claim to Palestine was 3000-4000 years ago, when it was given to them by God. Good enough for me.

The biggest obstalce in resolving the current situation is the failure of the world to recognize a simple fact: there is no "Palestinian" nationality. The so-called "Palestinians" are simply Arabs the vast majority of whom have moved to the area after or at the same time as the Jews. They never ever had a country and they are no different than any other Arabs. Being a "Palestinian" is no different than being a Brooklynite or Saharian - residing in a certain area doesn't make you entitled to a never-before-existant country.

It could be a cultural thing. When the Jews allowed themselves to be massacre in the Holocaust without putting up a fight, this is seen as very shameful in the Arab-Muslims eyes. Islam was born in a warrior-centric culture, not too unlike the Viking culture of Scandinavia. When one died in battle, one will entered Heaven. The Jews are seen as a shameful race, if not consciously, as least sub-conciously by the Arab-Muslims. That's why I believe they would not spare a single square inch of land to the Jews.

Mansdorf misleads your readers when he quotes from the 1933 League of Nations document, "the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people", then deliberately ignores the rest of the sentence, "it being CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD that nothing should be done which might prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine."
In 1948, Jewish forces massacred hundreds of Palestinian women and children, forcing many others from their homes. This was part of their "Plan Dalet", part of which I quote, "Mounting operations against enemy population centers located inside or near our defensive system in order to prevent them from being used as bases by an active armed force. These operations can be divided into the following categories: 1)Destruction of villages (setting fire to, blowing up, and planting mines in the debris), especially those population centers which are difficult to control continuously. 2) Mounting search and control operations according to the following guidelines: encirclement of the village and conducting a search inside it. In the event of resistance, the armed force must be destroyed and the population must be expelled outside the borders of the state."

I have not heard that position before, but it makes sense. IT seems Muslim sensibilities are easily and permanently offended by all those who are not Muslim.
