Peace...to all Slav brothers who continue support the Greek positions in the long running name dispute fiasco with FYRoM.

MIR...to all Slav brothers who see todays Greeks as the sole and legal cultural-custodians of the ancient-Hellenic legacy.

Peace...to all Orthodox-Christian brothers.

MIR...in the lands of Orthodox-Christendom.

As the Greeks struggle to shed those bad-practices and those bad old-ways of the past...we extend the hand of friendship to those who stood, and still stand by us...Peace to all Grecophiles - Phil-Hellenes, wherever you may be!

The Orthodox Church is evangelical not Protestant.

It is Orthodox, but not Jewish.

It is Catholic, but not Roman.

It isn't non-denominational - it is pre-denominational.

It has believed, taught, preserved, defended and died for the Faith of the Apostles from since the Day of Pentecost...some 2,000 years ago!

Ten countries where Orthodox-Christendom is Preserved: Bulgaria, Belarus, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, and Ukraine.

Twelve countries where Orthodox-Christendom is represented: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and the U.S.A.

greeks are not Christians, no one which doesn't recognize, which forbids someones identity can be Christian. In fact greeks will go even further to wish rather for our destruction or Macedonia in the hand of the Muslim Albanian radicals, us their nearest Orthodox neighbour. It's hypocritical to talk about Orthodox brotherhood and mention greece in same sentence.

Historically, the term Greek-Orthodox has also been used to describe all Eastern-Orthodox Churches, since "Greek Orthodox" can refer to the Greek-heritage of the Byzantine-Empire.

During eight centuries of Christian history, most of the intellectual, cultural and social developments in the Church took place within the Empire, or, in the sphere of its influence.

Most parts of the liturgy - the traditions and practices of the Church of Constantinople were adopted by all the Orthox-Churches and still provide the basic structures and framework of contemporary Orthodoxy.

The appellation "Greek" as in Greek-Orthodoxy was abandoned by the Slavic countries and other national Orthodox-Churches to favour their peoples National awakenings.

Get over yourself Nick...
The proper term would be Eastern Orthodox...to cover the range of orthodoxy the world over. Now administratively each country has its own head thus the hyphenated version. It is the Greek ethnocentric paranoia which drives these divisions. A unified Eastern Orthodox block would be dominated by a language foreign to Greeks. This language was developed to serve them not you.

If it was truly the Greek Orthodox block then they would ALL be speaking Greek no? The TRUTH is that the Macedonian language was used to spread Eastern Orthodoxy throughout eastern europe (Old Church Slavonic).

Get over yourselvs really and see the world as the world see it.
Your rose tinted glasses are blinding you.

Miserable Nickolopoli, attempt at STEALING Orhtodox Christianity as per usual by a greek.

How pathetic you state that it 'was called greek orthodox' you slimy little pr1ck. It was and is always called Orhtodox Christian by all and for all. Power brokers in brokering power added a 'national element as a prefix' in order to create division and non-unity amongst Orthodox states...and the biggest usurpers and suckers-up-to were the greeks. OK pr1ck!!!

The word of the gospel was taken to all Slavic countries by who my dear lying little [email protected]??? Kiril & Metodi and in which language??? Macedonian. Stop bulsh1tting OK little pr1ck.

Learn about Greek-Orthodox Christendom, and one automatically learns the history of Byzantium, Christendom in the Eastern-Roman Empire.

The Patriarch of Constantinople: A leader amongst equals - This primacy of honor belongs to the Patriarchate of Constantinople on the basis, the city was the seat of the Eastern-Roman [Byzantium]Empire which between 320 - 1453AD, was the core-center of Eastern-Orthodox Christendom.

The canonical rights of the Patriarchate of Constantinople were defined by the councils of Constantinople at 381AD and Chalcedon at 451AD.

In the 6th Century AD, the Patriarch assumed the title Ecumenical-Patriarch. The patriarch does not possess administrative powers beyond his territory
or patriarchate...he simply holds primacy status amongst equals.

Orthodox-Churches recognize his role in convening Pan-Orthodox consultations and councils, his authority extends to the Greek communities of Turkey, the Greek Islands, North-Greece, plus the numerous Greek-speaking communities in USA, Canada, Australia, Western-Europe and the autonomous Chuch of Finland.

Other ancient-Patriarchates are those that were established in Alexandria, Egypt, Damascus, Syria and Jerusalem. The patriarchs of Alexandria and Jerusalem are Greek speaking...the Patriarch of Antioch heads a significant Arab Christian community in Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq.

Russian and other Orthodox-Churches include the Patriarchate of Moscow and all Russia, the largest Orthodox-Church by far, it occupies 5th place in the hierarchy of autocephalous churches, followed by the patriarchates of the Republic of Georgia, Serbia, Romania, and Bulgaria.

The NoN-Patriarchal Churches are, the archbishoprics of Cyprus, Athens Tirana...The metropolitanates of Poland, Czech-Republic, Slovakia, and America.

The autocephalous Orthodox-Church in America, officially established in 1970, has as its stated goal the unification of all Orthodox-Christians in the U.S. and Canada on territorial basis.

MIR...Peace and good-will to all Slav brothers that have consistantly stood by the Greeks in their dispute with FYRoM over the use of the Macedonian-name.

Greeks appreciate the actions of all Slav brothers that continue to support - endorse the Greek-Hellenic Identity of Alexander the Great and the ancient-Macedonians of antiquity.

MIR...to all Slav brothers who place an importance value to Greco-Slavic friendship.

For Peace, and for brotherhood across Orthodox-Christendom...MIR, to all Slav brothers!
