Athens plans to more actively in the fall to deal with the issue of Macedonia's name, diplomatic sources have said the Greek media.
Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on 8 August in Washington to meet with U.S. President Barack Obama, in which, inter alia, will also talk about the negotiations to resolve the name issue which take place through the mediation of Matthew Nimetz.
newspaper "To Vima", referring to relevant sources, wrote that Samaras-Obama meeting "will be held a few weeks before the opening of serious national issues concerning Cyprus and the name of Skopje ".
"Katimeirni" proqevritar the text of the Greek prime minister meeting with U.S. President recalls that "Washington is ready to be activated for the solution of the Cyprus problem and the issue of the name" Macedonia, while Athens "despite its objective difficulties caused by the economic situation, is willing to play a role in the Middle East using new relationship with Israel and its traditional ties with the Arab world."
