That's interesting! In South Africa especially in North West areas like Klerksdorp, Carletonville and Brits you find quite a few Bataung who call themselves Batswana. Maybe it's the with the Radebe's in Lesotho who now call themselves Basotho.

Re na le bo Ndaba, Nhlapo, Tshabalala, jj, ba ahileng Lesotho, Free State including Qwaqwa ba sa tsebeng any of nguni language but talks sesotho only; and this does not make them Basotho even though they only speak that language.

PS. Please email me on [email protected] I need advice on what people wear at Basotho traditional weedings. My niece is getting married and the family wans us all to wear Sesotho, but specifically wedding wear (if there is such a specific thing). We all grew up in Pretoria and know nothing of these things, but this time the family decided we should do something about it.
