In the meantime, due to human rights abuses reported from Human Rights Amnesty, the killing and torturing of these individuals by the LPDR need to be investigated. Instead of clumping all the guilty and innocents together as one giving them all the same sentence, each person’s story needs to be taken into careful consideration/ examination and look into thoroughly. If found guilty, pay the price, if innocent, then they should be reprieved and rescued. Yes, I too have put 2 + 2 together and concluded that LPDR are not so magnanimous. Many of our elders that are here in the U.S. and scattered into other countries today are the ones that used the jungle, so yes, it does hit home to many, because any of us over here can easily be those guys over there still stuck in limbo. Escaping the Communists and out of Laos was not easy. Many families fell behind for various reasons.
