I feel nothing but pity for all Hmongs. Laos is currently governed by a Vietnamese communist government. So the country, politically, doesn't really belong to anybody, not even Laos. Even though the country is called "LAOS". Hmongs are fetching out hundreds, maybe thousands, of dollars for something that was not even theirs in the first place. Talking about stupid... I'm not saying the people is stupid but their way of thinking is stupid. And this character "TOU VANG", is he for real??? Do you possibly believe he can actually do something for you??? Where is he now??? Have you met, seen or even spoke to him before??? I don't understand why Hmong people and Lao people can't just get along???... Is there a past that the new generation doesn't know about??? Hmong and Lao people have been and will continue to share a country that is governed by the communist government, why not get rid of the communist? They're the real reasons behind all of this in the first place, aren't they???.....

To everyone that has replied to me. Thank you for replying back. I don't know what you are getting so uptight and upset about. I, personally, don't know who "TOU VANG" is, and I don't know his background or the history behind him. To be honest, I don't know the history behind Hmong, period. I am just a third generation American-born girl that wants peace for everyone. Coming from another generation, I think we should stop blaming one another. It's not making anything better. TOU VANG might be a superior and a diplomatic hero to all Hmongs, but that doesn't give you the right to put the blame on the US, especailly, when you are living on their soil.

Vang Pao is nothing but a lying, cheating, stealing, manipulating little coward that hides in his hometown, Fresno, California. I am sick and tired of hearing about his power, achievments and greatness, he has done for us, Hmongs. He might have been a hero thirty years ago, by migrating us to the US but fast forward to 2007, what has he done now? He has done nothing but rip off his own people just because they look up to him. My parents, grandparent, aunts, and uncles have been fetching out hundreds, even thousands of dollars to that man. And where did that money go? To the pockets of his family, like his son Cha Vang and nephew Lia Vang. Didn't they just settle a lawsuit recently??? Embezzling money from the Vang Pao Foundation. What a shame... Thor, you're blowing this way out of proportion. Blaming one another is not the way to go. You need to re-read the article and re-research your information. I took your response to heart and did some digging. I am offended all around, no matter which way you attack me from. I'll let you in on a little bit about myself, my dad is part Hmong/Lao, my mom is part Thai/Caucasian. I was raised to speak a little bit of every language, mainly English because we live in America. I remember celebrating every festivities and holidays, no matter from which side of the family. Everybody, from all sides of my family gets along. My point, why can't we just get along? It's been thirty years in the past. Why can't everyone just leave it at that. I've did my reasearch from all four points of view. They weren't excited to talk about it and I know it was hard for them, but all four of my grandpa who's had their fair share of the war, opened up. I listened with both ears open and kept an open mind. From that experience, I learned that when it comes to one's point of view, one is important. No matter what background you come from. Oh! Terrorist? Where did you get that from? I don't remember hearing anyone calling Hmongs, terrorist... Even if they did, so what? Hi Thor, hope I'm not coming across as annoying. I would like to thank you for replying back. It seems like we're the only two who are actually responding to each other. Is that normal? I hope so. You don't have to apologize for anything. You haven't offended me, well at least not personally, in any way because everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm a happy, easy-going person who likes to become friends with everybody. So don't worry about writing me, I like a little chit-chat once in a while. Actually, your like my new cyber friend, minus the argument, that is. I didn't get a chance to go to the the site yet, but I promise I will get to it.
