I think the problem lies in the hand of the Ministry, the Board and the Management. Do they have the corporate plan? Is it realistic? Do they know how much they will earn in a year and how many staff to keep on recruiting. Is their pay structure matches with the amount of money they earn? Do they have proper personnel such as in Accounting, HRM and etc to understand how to manage the money and people in directing them towards achieving the goals? Do the organisation have continued meetings to co-ordinate and assess the progress and the down-falls of the organisation? If they have the basics in running the business there will be less problem.

One thing I may sense is, diversifying the role of Radio Kiribati to do other commercial business may also interfere with the major role of the Organisation and who knows, this is may be one of the loopholes in which the money is drained out. Corruption and Working unprofessionally may be part of the whole game of letting the organisation going down the drain. If it is the public property who cares? Let the public care about it. That's a common sickness in most of public properties so who pay the price- taxpayers. I think it's time now to privatise before the next high tide comes.
