Homosexuality and Atheism on the rise in Kenya?

Having spent time in 2 Kenyan High School in the last 3 years, I can tell you that their are young guys that are openly Homosexual, and another group that is openly Atheist. At least open to the students. There were a few muttering here and there, but generally they were accepted. I myself can name well over 10 gays. I'm guessing that their were many more that had gay feelings but hid them. I basing this on the fact that Kenya was ranked high on the list of African countries that routinely search for gay pornography. Something close to 50% of all Kenyans are under 18, so it's likely that the younger generation are the main reason. I'm also guessing that in the past generations, this was a taboo. I'm looking for an older generations’ opinion about this, if my suspicions are true.

p/s- Feel free not to believe me, this is just speculation and I have no credible sources, besides my recent High School experience.
