He had to pay a jizzya tax to them for protection or they would have decapitated him or made him a human bomb.

Some of the people who paid jizya were nearly as rich as the sultans of the time.

...and then it was out-allah-lawed. Which proves humans are smarter than allah....and muslims now have to work for a living.

Interesting that Jesus didn't return but the jizya got the boot. can you explain why allah allowed this, Abu?

If Muslims did try to kill the Pope, I suspect the backlash would be stupendous.

The jizya was to put pressure on infidels to convert. No sain person will accept islam. Mohamed knew this thats why he said, spread islam by the sword. Saltans used to plan wars and have sex the rest of the time.

Why on Earth would anyone (particularly Muslim) want to kill the Pope? Pure fantasy.

Do you live in a cave?

After the Pope quoted what someone said about Muhammad,(I forget the details) there were a number of death threats from Muslims.

And most were not.

The existence of jizya is proof of Islam's barbarism.

Allah did say, jizya would HAVE to be paid till Jesus returned.

Can any muslim explain what happened? Did allah have a change of mind. or did muslims?...or rather, non muslims??

I'd be interested in knowing the answer.

go and read your quran again. Surah 4: have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them,89. I think the pope does not believe in allah.
