No. It is not. The Japanese have gotten a free pass over their crimes in WW2 compared with Germany. It is disgusting how might makes right, nothing will make these distortions true, no matter how many US government lies are fed to the press for mass consumption. Thank God China has some backbone about WW2 and exposes the US cover-up of his crimes.

Sleazy, fifthly little Japanese emperor Hirohito rot in hell!!!!

such an arguement is pointless to the people in Asia - the japanese emperor wanted a war or not, it doesn't change the fact that japanese invaded Asia nations including Korea, China, Philiphines, Singapor, Malaya, Indonesia ...etc. It doesn't change the fact that japanese murdered millions of people.

I had read somewhere that Japanese emperors were treated like a piece of shit by their militarism governments sometimes in history. So it might be true, the emperor didn't agree to have a war but it really mean nothing to the nations who got invaded, messecred by the japanese.

Sorry, just an American opinion.
Y'all Aussies and Mexican brothers to our north keep signing in, please.
It's just that one American me is so shamed by our war crimes in Iraq and Guantanimo that I see Japanese hideous torture and killing in a light of our American present, not like history gone away and remembered only in books.
I'm the fool. Pity me. Pity America.

Wrong analogy, Lance. Atrocities by US soldiers in Iraq have been rare, and a violation of our policy. Atrocities by Japanese troops in WW Two were intentional government policy, and were a plague. And yes, I'm afraid Japan has indeed gotten a free pass on the horrible things they did while Germany has been excoriated.

Yet it is Germany that has done an admirable job of owning up to its Nazi past while Japan has obfuscated at every step.

It only indicates that the Japanese are trying to beautify its shameful history.

In light of the shameless practice of slaughtering dolphins and whales common to the Japanese, I am glad that America was far-sighted and altruistic enough to nuke these fiends a couple of times.

Stupidly, blindly positive? Or traitorous? Is it comforting to live as an idiot, on your knees to mass-murderers, in a haze of propaganda, abdicating all responsibility and turning away from the worst sort of horrors in childish weakness, and is your traitorous, delusional blindness the drug that makes you so happy?
