interesting note- Honda motorcycles have a higher US produced component content than Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Honda's component suppliers provide numerous items to Harley- major necessary parts. Wonder if the Harley prices will go down after Honda moves and reduces costs?
I do not understand

Yes. Interesting that H-D pops up in so many places. It's good to be #1.

Number 1 joke you mean. From a technically inferior engine design (air cooled with one jug behind the other), nearly constant vibration and the lemmings who claim to be individualists while dressing like one another in hd gear, I just don't get it.

Yes. You don't get it. Your loss. BTW - drop by your local H-D dealer on a sunny Saturday. You will realize that while everyone generally seems to be dressed in the same style, they all do look different. That is not the case at the Mega Jap bike dealers. There you see many folks that match exactly. Like they called each other before they left the house to make sure they had the right "outfit" on. Laughable really...

WTF???

The majority of Harley riders today dress alike, wanna be poseurs. I had great respect for Harley riders back in the day when they were mostly true badasses or people who rode them because of the shear joy of riding - not weekend warriors who dress up to appear like they are rough and tough, frigging wannabe's.

Now I want to puke everytime I see the new harley rider breed.

I am talking about the clueless followers who ride Harleys. Go to ANY harley dealer on ANY DAY OF THE WEEK and you'll see most of the "INDIVIDUALISTS" dressing in harley boots, harley pants, harley shirts, harley glasses, harley gloves, harley bandanas, harley belts and harley helmets.

Harley doesn't make more money on the brickita brackita than on its bikes for no reason.

Don't try to tell me I don't get it, I've ridden harleys and I prefer not to get shaken to death, pay a premium for inferior technology or join the clique that rules the day today.

I own Honda's and Harley's and it's amazing to me that the so called "technically inferior design" of the Harley gets better gas milage than a comparable Metric and you rarely see a 20 year old Metric on the road but you routinely see 30 year old HD's still going strong and worth what a new metric costs.

Air cooled engine with 1 jug behind the other, back jug gets all the heated air from the front jug. Need I explain more about technically inferior??? Even harley acknowledged the design was out of date and designed a replacement motor with Porsche. HD loyalists would have nothing to do with something that wasn't a vtwin so it is only used on one model that doesn't sell very well.

Acquaintance has a evo harley with less than 11k and it had to be torn down because the jugs (and other components) were leaking. This on a garage queen owned by an anal retentive, extremely easy riding type of person. Love the way the mirrors shake and parts fall off the thing as well.

Not many (if ANY) 30yr old harleys that are on the road haven't been rebuilt. Nobody but a fool can argue that a harley of circa 1978 wasn't a POS.

So you figuerd out that less horse power and speed = better fuel milage. The only reason 30 year old HDs are worth so much is the sheep are still dumb enoufe to pay for them. you spend 20 thousand dollars on a bike and are happy its still worth 13000, only a loss of 7 thousand dollars plus all the other crap you had to add. My honda cost 9500 and i sell it for 5000 I lose 4500 Ya i think i still come out on top.

I am not unsure of my manhood so I have no need for loud obnoxious pipes.

"Loud pipes save lives" is one of the most ignorant concepts I've ever heard. All loud pipes do is disturb the peace and make people dislike motorcyclists even more.

You have a computer, look it up.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

I believe this could apply to some women as well. LOL !!!

I agree, I find loud pipes to be the most annoying thing on the road, some HD j**koff making a loud noise basically saying "look at me", and how do they save lives? Do you seriously believe that the loud noise makes people aware of the rider? If that is your logic then my point is made, the "look at me" attitude of the HD rider, nothing but an overpriced junk toy taking up space on my road!

Yeah? and God gave you men a p&nis and a brain, but only enough blood to use one at a time.
Loud pipes give other motorists ample warning of an approaching biker.
Your bike reminds me I should go home and cut the grass!
Your lucky God did, if we had blood in our brains when we we're doing you, we'd stop and douse our johnson in boiling water. LOL!!!

Are you blonde? I've NEVER stated what I ride.
