There will be hell to pay for Obama no matter what transpires. The nation is about to realize Obama knew the support he gave radical Islamists in Syria included his refusal to inform us of those terrorists using chemical warfare. He knew this months ago. He has intentionally misled the nation on many issues, but this one takes the cake.

Wouldn't tell us anything.
Kerry is a politician, one of the professions where lying convincingly is a prerequisite.

A good and honorable president will think twice and long about a war, and that is exactly what Obama is doing. Either way a lot of people will blame him, however he does spend the time to study the effects of the aftermath and I respect him for doing that. I am sure he looks at what happened in Iraq and Libya and is trying to look at the cause and effect. It is impossible to do the perfect action against a regime like Assads because Assad will not change and is pure evil, just look at the type of bombing that happened yesterday with the incidiary bomb on a school for petes sake, this is not the work of a sane man but that of a butcher that has no respect for mankind. He believes in the shock and awe effect to winn over the slaves in HIS country, and THAT is what will bring him down as well, ironic isn't it?

You make some excellent points. But, you ignore Obama's ultimatum.
He drew the red line. Before that he's called for Assad to abdicate to Al Queda.
Turkey and Russia understand. Obama and Kerry do not.
Now, Obama might be seeing the light.
If USA hits syria, how long before we hit Iran? It would have to be soon. And it would be inevitable.
That is the real issue. It's not really about chemical weapons.

there is no way that the USA is going to pass up this opportunity to demolish syrian military assets. this strike is really about increasing the future security of the state Israel. even if evidence comes out later proving that terrorists were responsible for the chemical attack then the USA will just say oops and that will be that. The problem is this could potentially become a massive world war if russia gets involved. not likely but what if...
