Yeah

Get back to my Irish Home Rule within the UK point. The importation of German weapons from the UVF from Imperial Germany to stop this, to stop the will of the Irish people, and deny the decision of the House of Commons, USING GERMAN WEAPONS.....

the irish can only be taken seriously if they accept that the year is 2012, and gets a year more every year - insisting that the date is 1689 , or 1916, or when Elizabeth sent an army over, keeps them in the monkish dark ages of gaelic sentimentality and the domination by the priests.

Irish Republicans where a micro sect in 1914. The peaceful Irish Home Rule Party (Irish Parliamentary Party) was a political goliath on the island for decades, and campaigned in Westminster for many decades for Irish Home Rule within the UK.
The Ulster Protestants did all they could to undermine this peaceful Political Movement, and did all they could to prevent Irish Home Rule within the UK. This is what actually happened Allymac, this is the truth.
If your people had not crushed the aspirations of the peaceful Irish Parliamentary Party then Irish Republicanism and the likes of De Valera would have never gotten near the top of Irish politics. We nearly had Home Rule secured in 1912-1913 but your people set up the UVF and threatened violence against the Irish and the English if this happened. This meant Home Rule was blocked, then the Irish Republicans stuck, 1916 Rising, that was a massive game changer.
If the Irish had have gotten Home Rule, the 1916 Rising wouldn't have happened, and even if it did no one would have taken any notice of it.
This is a fact. This is the true history. Not trying to have a go at your people saying this, but this is what actually happened. You scoffed for decades at the peaceful Irish parliamentarians and their wishes, made them look eventually very weak in 1912-1913 by failing to secure Home Rule, and then the more extreme elements (De Valera etc) rose their heads....
True bro but it's history now. it happened yet here we find ourselves. let's deal with the present. we can be happy and already are to a large extent compared to the past. leave it there. the way forward is looking at the now and the future.

I often agree with a lot of your ideas humber but it must be pointed out...

The Larne gun-running was a major gun smuggling operation organised in Ireland by Major Frederick H. Crawford and Captain Wilfrid Spender for the Ulster Unionist Council to equip the Ulster Volunteer Force.[1][2][3] The operation involved the smuggling of almost twenty-five thousand rifles and three million rounds of ammunition[clarification needed] from Germany, with the shipments landing in Larne, Donaghadee, and Bangor in the early hours between Friday 24 and Saturday 25 April 1914.[1][2][4] The Larne gun-running may have been the first time in history motor-vehicles had been used "on a large scale for a military-purpose, and with striking success".[2]

Yes, the Ulster Loyalists did indeed befriend the Germans at a time when the 36th Ulster Division and the 16th Irish Division fought tooth and nail against them. 3'600 men from the island of Ireland, norht and south, died while both republicans and unionists received weapond from the enemy. let reality prevail. it's over, let it go

The nazi's were content to supply arms to anybody who would create trouble anywhere against the allies so they could weaken the allies and so gain more control. They didn't give a frogs fart about republicans or loyalists, in the end we would have all met each other in the gas chambers, that reminds me, i should think about quiting smoking one of these days

dude, you keep talking about republicans "stabbing in the back" because they used german weapons so what were the british unionists doing importing german weapons as well, using them as something to hang over their mantel pieces? stabbing you in the front? less double standards and more reality. it was different times, as queen elizabeth said in dublin, "there are things we wish we had done differently and things we wish we had never done at all" and her words hold true for both sides. let it go dude and you too dubbadub. don't lose the plot, being happy should be your priority. don't get dragged down into the sandpit of history. it's a different world now! ulster deserves to be a normal place like the rest of western europe. ulster has been deprived of happiness for too damn long. forget flags and religion for a change and be happy

dude, rep of ireland is probably the last country in europe that would vote in left wing politicians (pol pots!) just look at the record.. FF and once in a blue moon FG, labour scrapped in in a coalition now and again but the rep of Ireland voter has shown themselves to be centre right time and time again. left of centre politicians are much more successful in france, germany, england, belguim (spelt wrong i know) and many more european countries than rep of ireland. i hope labour and other left wing politicians have another income in rep of ireland because they aren't and in all probability won't get an income as government employees in rep of ireland. i don't understand why you keep going on about "pol pots' in relation to ireland. not being smart, i am honestly confused. and as far as sinn fein are concerned, they get a tiny proportion of votes in rep of ireland. why do you fear such a small party. ok in ulster they have a big following but in the south, miniscule. norhtern politicians must address the reasons why such a large proportion of voters like sinn fein especially when in the south they can't get a look in. why is that? i don't know, you must ask yourself. i certainly would never vote for them. why do so many northerners? not being smart here, why is that?

i know that some british soldiers refused to fight at the 1916 rising because they refused fight in a civil war but didn't know about curragh camp, it's very interesting. i read recently that the first british soldier to die in the 1916 rising was actually a dublin man, just to add to the irony
