York is a great small city and people who run it down are generally just xenophobic rubes. I wish the entrepreneurs well and I look forward to getting back in the old Harp and Fiddle building.

The first two guys are right. York city isn't what it used to be. Twenty years ago York was a great place to hang out. It had a great night life, and you didn't feel unsafe. If stating the obvious is racist, then so be it. I think Jake is a little naive if he thinks that the influx of minorities who have moved into York over the past few years has nothing to do with that. If you don't believe that, then go visit Reading, Allentown, Coatsville and Lebanon. Lancaster and Harrisburg aren't doing that well either.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Aquarius

You're in a tricky position because someone who is supposed to know what they're talking about seems to be spouting complete nonsense instead. If this is an older friend or relative then you can simply smile politely and wait for them to rejoin the rest of us on Planet Earth. But if it's a boss or bureaucrat who's talking rubbish or giving you some puzzling orders, you'll be in a quandary about what to do.
