It is first time in India when fanatics and fundamentalist preachers of religions in India have set their religious differences aside and join hands to wage a war against gays and nations which have gay-friendly laws. Delhi High Court has said that consensual sex between two adults can not be illegal. Even if it is gay sex. Indian media and Indian gays are rejoicing. However, let me tell you that I am NOT any gay-rights activist and I am NOT gay. I support this decision of court as believe that one should live and let live. Indian law prescribes imprisonment of ten years (minimum) for a person if he is gay. Maximum punishment? Jail for the rest of life. Even if the sex is consensual. On the other hand, a rapist, who assaults an innocent girl or woman and scars her for life gets 7 years (maximum) if he gets convicted due to some miracle because in India, if a rapist is convicted (whether rich or poor), one would say, "miracles do happen." In India, there is a rape somewhere in every 25 minutes and very few cases come to light. And it is only in one or two cases, the villain gets convicted. Many times, even poor rapists get away. So it is not entirely money power that saves rapists. And rich rapists, even if convicted due to miracle, usually get light punishments, not because of law but because of judges who choose to show some compassion towards them. So rationally this judgment is OK. Fanatics of all religions are angry. As these fanatic groups have branches in USA and many Indians and other Asian are their members, they can start a war. No matter which religion they belong to. So Americans better stay alert. This is for their own good.

Religion is a joke as we all (god willing) should have come to see by now. If God were above us dictating his/her will, I would think mercy and tolerance would be the priority in the teaching. Accepting that we are all born as we are for a reason that is meant to touch and shape the lives of others as well as teach us as individuals how to be the best we can be as the person we were born to be.

I think that is our ultimate purpose for living, and in realizing that we find peace in the dieing part of life.

My philosophy. Maybe I am wrong, but I am pretty sure when I die I won't give a great damn.

Do you know why war sucks? War sucks because those who call for the fight are not the ones who heed the call. Those whose lives are worth more than any others on earth are the ones who answer the call, and in the end (at least nowadays) they lay down their life for someone else's cause. They do not do it to get 15 seconds of fame and God knows they don't get 15 seconds either, they do it even while they are protested, spit on, and hated by those who are so much weaker than they will ever be, and still they do it because it is what they know to do.

No answer is forthcoming. We can complain about the loss our countries face fighting someone else's fight, but the reality is we can't resolve it through complaints. We can't stop the fanatics both from our own side and the other. I don't want someone else's fanatics in our own countries, but I don't want to have us fighting their fight.

So how do you fix it?

Green Arrow I am living my life and that is why I have not been around. But I am for the rights of anyone, and to me gays are like a test on mankind's ability to evolve. We have to accept that we are all here for a reason, and that we are different. The problem is that we are not willing to accept that we could be different and we are so caught up in this hunger to belong and in gaining that belonging we must conform to someone else's standard.

Rape is a crime, we all (hopefully) know that. We have to fight corruption on the most basic levels to change the laws within our own communities. We have to accept social responsibility, which means that as a community we have to take such crimes as crimes against ourselves.
