Gore is in the middle of the smart grid, in addition to being in the middle of the carbon trading certificate business.

He might be missing out a little bit, though.

Business is business.

Nader Was Right: Liberals are Going Nowhere With Obama
Aug 10, 2009 / http://tinyurl.com/kotjan
The American empire has not altered under Barack Obama. It kills as brutally and indiscriminately in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan as it did under George W. Bush. It steals from the U.S. treasury to enrich the corporate elite as rapaciously. It will not give us universal health care, abolish the Bush secrecy laws, end torture or “extraordinary rendition,” restore habeas corpus or halt the warrantless wiretapping and monitoring of citizens. It will not push through significant environmental reform, regulate Wall Street or end our relationship with private contractors that provide mercenary armies to fight our imperial wars and produce useless and costly weapons systems.

The point was that the Clinton administration didn’t want the CIA working within the borders of the US and it tried desperately to limit contact and coordination between the FBI and the CIA. After 9/11 the Dept of Homeland Security was established and coordination was restored—no more attacks within the US.
What has not happened again is no additional hijacked airplanes have crashed into the World Trade Center towers since 9/11 - because those buildings were already attacked and destroyed, after Bush and his ignorant staff repeatedly failed to act in spite of warnings from a variety of counter-terrorism and national security experts. Domestically, there were the anthrax attacks and the DC Snipers to name two. Internationally, during the Bush years, there have been literally tens of thousands of terrorist attacks involving American casualties and deaths. The “No more attacks mythology” is exactly that – a myth! Read the book “One Nation Under Fear” by Bob Cesca. I also recall most of our elected officials, assorted experts and the press agreed at the time - Islamist terrorists would strike the United States again - and soon. "Ninety days at the most," said counterterrorism expert Juval Aviv. Senior intelligence officials told Congress that there was a "100 percent" chance of another terrorist attack. "An attack is predictable now whether we retaliate against Afghanistan or not," reasoned House Speaker (to-be) Nancy Pelosi. Sen. Richard Shelby, agreed: "You can just about bet on it" he said!

Go Obama Go

It’s truly a topsy-turvy world we live in today.

Guess where KUWAIT is soon to be drilling (and owning and selling back to the US)

If you answered Texas, you would be correct.

North of Victoria.

A Kuwaiti company has paid big bucks for the drilling rights. And has been granted those rights.

Isn’t that special?

You were saying we were “friends” with Saddam and that simply wasn’t true any more than we were friends with Iran. Britain on the other hand only helped Saddam. Why not criticize your own country?
Also you seemed happy about what the Russians did in Georgia (not imperialism) yet when we did the same to Iraq you feel we were wrong (imperialism) and as you know the situation with Iraq and Saddam was indirectly responsible for the deaths of 3000 on 9/11. Why the double standard?
Again, who do you feel was worse Saddam or the President of Georgia?
I aint British pal! and saying you were not friends with Saddam is a total falsehood! Your dumbass Reagan and Bush supported and armed Saddam during the Iran war.

Britain did the same, but not to the extent you folks did. Never saw a British defense secretary sit down and shake hands with Saddam like Rumsfeld!

Funny these days your all on about Saddam gassing the Kurds. You bloody well knew about when it was happening with your own weapons! Still pals with him till he attacked Kuwait for a reason that was never looked into.

For all we know Kuwait was slant drilling across the Iraqi border! But then the whole Saudi crap came into it as if Saddam would invade the heart of Islam without the surrounding nations blowing him and his country to bits.

I wouldn't be surprised if a Russian airbase shows up in Iran, sometime soon.

I’m sorry I thought Great Britain and the United Kingdom were the same thing, please provide the distinction.
We shook hands with the Soviets, the North Vietnamese, the Chinese communist, and even the North Koreans at one point or another, it didn’t mean we were friends.

International sources for technology and chemical precursors
The know-how and material for developing chemical weapons were obtained by Saddam's regime from foreign firms.[16] By far, the largest suppliers of precursors for chemical weapons production were in Singapore (4,515 tons), the Netherlands (4,261 tons), Egypt (2,400 tons), India (2,343 tons), and West Germany (1,027 tons). One Indian company, Exomet Plastics (now part of EPC Industrie Ltd.) sent 2,292 tons of precursor chemicals to Iraq. The Kim Al-Khaleej firm, located in Singapore and affiliated to United Arab Emirates, supplied more than 4,500 tons of VX, sarin, and mustard gas precursors and production equipment to Iraq.[17]

BTW—Saddam did invade Saudi Arabia—Khafgi

Again, it is a simple question. Who do you feel was worse the President of Georgia or Saddam?

I was referring to international terrorist attacks against the US—such as 9/11. The CIA would not be involved in preventing or investigating domestic terrorism.

The fact that we haven’t been hit with a major attack since 9/11, would point to the success of the Dept. of Homeland Security and a lot of luck.

Its funny (in a way) that 5 Iranian students decided on a 3 to 2 vote to protest at the American embassy rather than the Soviet embassy simply because they thought they would get more publicity at the American embassy. Things got out of hand and because of their decision Iranian children begin their school day with chants of “death to America”.

I watch, or read, neither.

Perhaps I've been stuck on Arabian, Russian, and Iranian main stream news recently, and didn't catch it.

If you want to understand American foreign policy, you have to wait until after the event and the policy is fabricated to fit their latest dilapidated military project - the good thing is their dilapidated population will believe anything that they hear on their tv.

The fact is your military dont get the proper training or follow NATO codes of conduct meant to stop friendly fire incidents
As for the Apache, that was a cross fire incident with the Taliban. Not negligent, incompetence and pure stupidity like your men are famous for. Ya silly goose! Even i wouldnt bother mentioning that if that was your guys instead!
Poor example Qrust, poor example.
How many Britz have killed a Yank soldier since 2001 and 2003?
Is more then zero acceptable to you, regardless of which undertrained ignorant tossers committed the friendly fire accident? Sad fact of all wars is that friendly fire accidnets happen and for you to lessen the significance of one over another on the basis of what country committed the terrible accidental blunder is not appropriate in my humble opinion...

Switching gears...Did you see Paddy Harrington fold like a wet napkin to Tiger in the wgc golf tournament yesterday? Just when I thought someone....anyone...could stand up to the mighty american...gagged like a prostitute on a long one...how ya doin' Q? Did you ever get those links for those stories you made up the other day?

How can you say that is not true? Nader got 738,720 votes which would be less than 1% of the votes cast. Even if 3 times that many people were to the left of Nader that would still put more than 95% of Americans to the right of Nader. You don’t believe in facts at all do you?

If your goals are fairly modest in the short term, they are achievable and you're likely to get some praise for achievements along the way. If you aim too high too quickly, others might not take you seriously or think you're being uppity and you could come unstuck. It's all a question of attitude and approach. There are contradictory influences over the next ten days but there could also be good luck coming your way.
