I live in the town called Nagymegyer, which is the most Hungarian city in Slovakia. It is situated in Southern part of Slovakia, ten minutes away from the Hungarian border. Most of its habitants are, surely, Hungarians. But their families have to leave Nagymegyer up to now because our Hungarian people do not speak Slovakian language well enough to get jobs here! Those of young local Hungarians, who have decided to study at Hungarian universities from this region or to work in Hungary, staying here, cannot solve transport problem, because there is still only one bus line between two sides of the border which run only three times per week!
I do not want to tell about huge lack of mutual understanding between nations living here, constant tricks of local Slovak nationalists, who continue to press our Hungarian community, living in current Slovakia. Certainly they manage to prevent our crossing Hungarian-Slovakian border every time because their outrage towards us is supported by local authorities!
And I'm sure if we really want to solve these problems, we'll have to go under governmental and political level. Our Slovak authorities should realize at last that all of us are owners of advantages which are values not only in Slovakia or Hungary, but in the whole Europe. They should stop so extreme nationalism and hate in the middle of Europe now!
