Obama probably promised them, the US would. I guess he thinks they won't know any better than to take that monopoly money.

The people of Haiti have discovered what many Americans knew all along.

Obama talks big rarely comes through.

He talked a lot about making healthcare available to all Americans. Not only did Obamacare never even approach that mark, it actually makes it harder for the working poor to receive health care.

Obama's pldeges aren't worth anything.
He's demonstrated time and again that he doesn't have the abilty to deliver.

We surely have a responsiblity to help rebuild Haiti since we Americans went down there to raid their large bank accounts in 1915 to 1934. We built roads and bridges that were substandard and forced the Haitian people to pay us 4 to 5 times what they were worth. Legal extortion is what we Americans perpetrated on Haiti when times were bad for us (minus the roaring 20's). Starting around the time before WWI and throughout the Great Depression of 1929 and until the 'good neighbor policy' kicked into gear. So dont believe that we Americans got to where we are today because of being smart and honorable. Most of what we have today was stolen from others like Haiti, like the American Indians, like the Mexicans, like the free labor from slavery, like the one-sided oil deals from poor oil-rich countries, and the list goes on and on. Yes, I am an American and I am proud of what we stand for as a nation BUT there are things that we have done as a nation to others that are appauling and need addressing.
