But I guess Antihaitianismo is well and still alive, and vice versa.
The hate will never be over until both countries recognize each other and the racism stops. This needs to come to an end.
I've visited Haiti many times on missionaries and I even got married there. Haitians are wonderful ppl, they happen to suffer a lot more than usual, Thanks to their corrupt gov't.
Furthermore, Dominican authorities can stop migrants from coming in. They can Simply, not open the gates on market days and secure the border. Build a 500 ft tall wall and you dont have to complain ever again. This is ridiculous.
Haitians are hated so much in the DR, but the DR gov't doesn't have a problem exploiting them for cheap labor. I dont hear them complaining then.

So you need to be well informed, before making a despicable and bias comment like that. But I still love both countries.

I just read the news that African ants are invading Haiti, they are a vicious kind of ant that eats flesh and crops, farm animals: cattle and animals, birds.
Dominican autorities are trying to stop this ants from crossing the border... LOL
OMG, Looks like nothing good ever crosses our borders, does it?
Now we have to feed hungry Haitian ants too.

Haitians are Haitians and Dominicans are Dominicans, but, let's not all forget where we came from. Your great-great-parent, great-grandparent, grandparent is STILL part of your lineage no matter where they were born and where YOU were born. Many, many Dominicans can call a Haitian a direct descended relative. The funny thing is many Haitian can call a Dominican a direct relative. Here ended the lesson kids!!!
