oh, by the way, how dark or black people can have "white" kids...
i.e. phenotype does not equate genotype...scroll down the page to bottom, as haitians, we all know this.
Americans have had a history of needing to hide it-

That is it, you sealed it right there. I wonder if it worth pointing anything to a baffoon that would not acknowledge that Haiti did not exist in 1801, yet still play his normal disorted spin even though when HE'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WRONG

Don't worry, I am not jealous of Haitians in Miami, we in New York we got two events coming up. The first is next week right on Nostrand Avenue. It is like carnival all the bands will take the streets in Brooklyn: T-vice, Mickey, Djakout etc. This one is to celebrate flag day. P.S., votre serviteur will be right in the middle of it. The second event will take place in June or July, all the bands are going to be there: Zin, T-vice, Djakout, Kreyola, Karimi etc. This one takes place in a park just like Miami. I'll be there rockin' it too. Sometimes we even have a third event around labor day weekend. We haven't had a third in three years because at the last one Mickey had beat up the promoter of that event. |

On August 22, 1791, the Haitian war of independence began in flames under the leadership of a religious leader named Boukman; over one hundred thousand slaves rose up against the vastly outnumbered and infinitely hated French. Unlike the French Revolution and the American Revolution, the Haitian revolution was entirely driven by the passions of men and women who had been enslaved most if not all of their lives. They didn't simply desire liberty, they wanted vengeance. Over the next three weeks, the Haitian slaves burned every plantation throughout the fertile regions of Haiti and executed all Frenchmen they could find. The French fled to the seacoast towns and pleaded with France to help them out while the island burned. Toussaint The great hero of the Haitian Revolution and a man considered one of the great revolutionaries and generals in his own time throughout America and Europe, was François Dominique Toussaint L'Ouverture. This man, whom all his European contemporaries compared to George Washington and later to Napolean Bonaparte, was not even part of the original revolution. When the war of independence broke out in August, Toussaint was fifty years old. Having spent his life in slavery, he was entering old age as a carriage driver. Like so many other slaves, though, the revolution fired his passion and he discovered within himself a greatness that fired the imagination of both his contemporaries and distant Europeans. |

Toussaint Louverture
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toussaint_Louver... This article or section includes a list of references or external links, but its sources remain unclear because it lacks in-text citations. You can improve this article by introducing more precise citations. François-Dominique Toussaint LouvertureFrançois-Dominique Toussaint Louverture pronunciation (help·info), also Toussaint Bréda, Toussaint-Louverture (born 20 May 1743 - died April 8, 1803) was an important leader of the Haitian Revolution. Born a slave in Saint-Domingue, in a long struggle for independence, he led enslaved Africans to victory over the whites, abolished slavery, and secured native control over the colony in 1797 while nominally governor of the colony. He expelled the French commissioner Léger-Félicité Sonthonax, as well as the British armies; invaded Santo Domingo to free the slaves there; and wrote a constitution naming himself governor for life that established a new polity for the colony. Between the years 1800 and 1802, Toussaint Louverture tried to rebuild the collapsed economy of Haiti and reestablish commercial contacts with the United States and Great Britain. His rule permitted the colony a taste of freedom which, after his death in exile, was gradually destroyed during the successive reigns of a series of despots. His name, translated from French, would mean "all the saints awakening." [1] |

TOUSSAINT L'OUVERTURE
By Thomas and Dorothy Hoobler Chelsea House Publishers, New York, 1990 http://www.webster.edu/~corbetre/haiti/bookre... Reviewed by Brian Corbett Toussaint L'Ouverture is one of Haiti's greatest hero's. He led Haiti to victory over French General Leclerc in the revolution of the slaves lasting from 1791 to 1802. Toussaint was born a slave around 1743, and raised on a plantation owned by a relatively humane nobleman, the Compte de Noe. Fortunate enough to receive adequate education, Toussaint studied tirelessly, setting himself apart from the other slaves. When, in 1791 the slaves rebelled, Toussaint joined their ranks as a medic. Before long, he was their leader. He led his warriors to victory over the superpowers France, Spain, and Britain. But, he did not live to see complete victory. The French captured and imprisoned him with treacherous deception. He soon died in the cold Swiss prison fortress of La Joux. |

The last battle of the Haitian Revolution, the Battle of Vertières, occurred on November 18, 1803, near Cap-Haitien and was fought between Haitian rebels led by Jean-Jacques Dessalines and the French colonial army under the Viscount of Rochambeau. On 1 January 1804, from the city of Gonaïves, Dessalines officially declared the FORMER COLONY'S independence, renaming it "Haiti" after the indigenous Arawak name.
