I'm not too happy about this movie not being filmed in Haiti. But, how many films that were filmed out of their countries of origin. With 18 million Chavez had to have that money being spent in Venezuela. I think the movie should be about the Haitian revolution as a whole not the man alone. Some profits should go to Haiti. If they're casting for Dessalines, I'd love to play him. Danny Glove: Toussaint? Who is playing Biassou? Remember that cock sucker was Toussaint's enemy, he would capture runaway slaves and would sale them to the Spanish. Beware ni**grs.

For me, I would distance myself from Danny Glover. I never appreciated the fact that he was so biased in the recent past with regards to our country. I don't trust him or any of the members of the US black caucus at all.
Sorry, just my opinion.

We don't have the money in the first place to make this happen; we should not be ungrateful to the ones taking the initiative on our behalf. Look at it from this perspective, we need a beginning!!!
We shouldn't care about money nor profit, but only about celebrating our hero whom is recognized throughout the world as an icon that blacks are also great.

You don't undrestand. Haitians don't hope, we act when we can.We don't care about poverty or anything else. We care about our great heroes. like our messiah like Moses, Yahoshua, bookman Toussaint, Dessalines andmany others of course our creator the forefather"the most high and his Loah=spirit

I agreed with Kretyen. Most historical movies have various version. Let him be the first one initiate the first Black historical pefully, later in the future we'll have producer who wants to perfectionate it.

You can see a clip of Toussaint's last moments in prison from the new short film "The Last Days of Toussaint L'Ouverture" at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2468184/ This short film is the basis for a new feature (not with Danny Glover) that is in development.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
