Shalom, wow congrats you finished, I hope my speed reading skills gets me done by years end. I grew up with Rosicrucian parents and served as Colombe till 18, finished studying art, travelled around London, Paris,Guyana, the Caribbean, then worked as a Textile Designer, Freelance model, crazy person and got some time to read. It took $700.00 and a year to read the Bhagavat Purana, but it was cool, can't live that way ancient, philisophical and powerless. Veronica we are on the same wavelength today I was just listening to my fav daily meditation song "The Power" by Snap. When I'm not reading life is in the music, "Common Let's Sweat Babe, Let The Music Take Control Let The Rythmn Move You"- Afro in me blood gyal, really I do Kundalini Yoga and I'm also studying "Japji Sahib" teachings of Guru Nanak and yea yea I pick it up and put it down to look after my cute sons and husband and cook and clean up. Are your decorations up, we did it yeaterday and my fav album for the season is Harry Belafonte kinda reminds me of Guyana. What's for dinner? take care.
Kundalini yoga I’m impressed wow. Some says this can be dangerous, it is said some have died. Krishnamurti experience when the kundalini was freed was very painful. I miss a stick-to-it attitude, so I fail at all kinds of yoga. Kriya yoga is as far as I’m concerned the best, it covers all aspects but the kundalini is very ambitious dear go for it.

This will be my second year that I’m not decorating, I like to decorate, not to take down. Sometimes half way January I still have Christmas decorations hanging. I live with my animals and eat and cook when I please in any case I have already eaten it was mashed potatoes with uncooked thinly sliced endive. Oh yes Harry Belafonte reminds me of the good old days in Guyana. Christmas was something I smelled in Guyana. It was the time when the market was filled with apples, grapes, almond nuts/ walnuts and at home the scent and sight of apples, grapes and such likes on the dining table covered with its new tablecloth. The baking of black cake, great. How I loved Christmas in N/A. Christmas eve night behind the band tramping down the road. Early Christmas morning you could hear Drink a rum on a Christmas morning. Old years’ night bal, all the ladies in evening gowns, black, black&silver or black&gold. Those were the days.

Well me luv Kundalina Yoga for me is about the right thing to do and the right time to do it. I guess we are not yoga virgins, tried a few other like yourself...That's all, I have no expectation just to enjoy the power of the moment. Just like Kaballah, some say it's best understood in your 40's, so I never was too intrested when I was a teenager, plain boring it was,... sorry. No ambition attached to it, just enjoy like sex. I have been on a path since childhood and sometimes I am fed up with everything. The people in my life are more important than GOD, religion, whateva so I can dump as I please and still have sweet challenges to enjoy. Free your mind and the rest will follow. Not too long before I married my challenge was walking on a runway with a bikini or just underwear and flashy clothes with them high heels yea and I'm 5'9"
Away from GT, NA is beautiful, I enjoyed my stay and checked out the nightlife with some friends and family. I remember window shopping in GT decorations food and my son told me his friend has "Drink A Rum" on his Ipod, that's funny they are 9yrs old. Endive is tasty, I had a friend from Holland who helped in the Holocast days long ago, she introduced me to endive baked with a touch of sea salt and butter, Holland is famous for pancakes, I saw a few intresting recipes. Hi did you notice on the bottom of the page Poojas and Yagnas to remove karma, you think Karma can be removed, that's a money making scandal. I never took down my Christmas lights since 2000, it's a thing here since then most people don't take down their lights only maybe if they sold the house. I gotta go so have a good one.

Dear, you asked what my favourite play was and could not answer because I did not want to sound corny. I have favourite plays from my youth. Shakespeare of course can it be any different? Hamlet – the sad prince of Denmark, Julius Caesar - Mark Anthony’s memorable speech, The Merchant of Venice - Portia’s brilliant defence,“A pound of flesh but not a drop of blood”. I had a schoolteacher that we called Shylock, a real nice guy.
I also liked Carmen from Bizet. There is the musical of Aida, music written by Elton John and some one else quite nice.
My sister had used this line against me: Father has, mother has, God bless the child that has his own.
Were you ever a Guyanese beauty, with you height and modelling it seems a sure thing.
Religion is something is picked up and put down continuously. Don’t get scared what I said about kundalini, I think if the chakras are properly opened it should be smooth sailing. Free the kundalini my dear.
It is strange your son having Drink a rum on his ipod. I haven’t heard that since I was around 14 or 16.
I’m reading stuff on the site and have not yet encountered healing karma, which is strange. The wonders are not out of the world as yet.
I was reading up on the brain lasts and found it fascinating the position of the brain stem also called the reptilian brain and the location of the cerebellum. The cerebellum seems to be resting on the reptilian brain. If one cuts the cerebellum and looks inside sideways they will see a tree, so-called “the tree of life” wonder if this is the same tree of life of the bible.
Have a good day dear

Hello dear you certainly have mentioned some jazz legends. Miles Davis when he was alive came regularly to the North Sea jazz festivals here in Holland. I’m not into jazz, I’m a pop/ R&B type, some rapp and other European music. Experienced the birth of reggae. Did you see the movie Lady sings the blues, with Diana Ross as Billy Holliday? Do you know Mahalia Jackson, wonderful voice. Had a nice Millie Jackson record years ago.
You’re much too young to know the Christmases I knew in Guyana. My last Christmas was in 72. I have checked the site and listened to the oldies/ classics. I must admit I am completely changed, the oldies/ classics I liked, brought back memories. This type of music need warm weather to go with it.
Well dear we all had our revolutionary teenage days, I was a bit of a hippie walking through bookers bare feet, can you imaging bare feet in Guyana the hot pavement.
Be well.

Have you forgotten your teenage days or are you remembering them?
Give the guys a chance at least they are coming to the door and not waiting at the corner of the street and quite mannerly too, bringing flowers.
Good luck with the dog.

Shalom V, Me Dad used to play sax in his days at LSE in London before moving to Guyana, he had a lot of jazz records and my mom liked all kinds of music. I didn't see LSTB but I know about Mahalia, songs still sing at funerals in England, Did Millie Jackson sing "If You Can See Me Know"?not sure, I learned to play guitar and my brother played sax. My darling plays sax also and we entertain the kids when there's time. Rapp came out in my college days so I was eager to learn "How Girls Did It"!!! LMTY, it's not as easy as it sounds. Of course I can imagine you walking barefeet in the hot sun in GT with flowers in your hair. Time flies really, I'm thinking of "love Hangover" guess why?? Diana Ross, I think she has the sexiest voice in the female universe, you remember "I'm Too Sexy For My Shirt, So Sexy It Hurts" This past summer I took a fansy to wearing FCUK t-shirts and ripped jeans,it got my imagination going for this now completed swimsuit project, so now it's over and I'm temporarly retired for the rest of 07' I hope you cheered up vex, I'm sorry for him, really!

Hi "Me Love" him is Canadian, white, and I take care of him real good. I'm happy you like romantic music, I only know "When A Man Loves A Woman" In College I did a project on Otis Reading, fab singer, soul music is great, oldies. Your girls know their goals and they will achieve them, have faith in them. Mostly in college there's fun in groups and in my class nobody dropped out, hey a guy is no reason to fuss about, if he loves her like my boo did he will wait and do the right thing.

Vex sweetheart every parent want to protect his/her child, but I personally finds this to be a handicap. I gave my son total freedom, I had only one rule be home at 18:00 hours when I come back from work I wanted to see him at home after dinner he could go out and be back at 21:00 hours on a school night. I told him what I liked in boys when I was a teenager. And he should treat his dates along those lines.

I grew up very protected, married a guy who believed in the same kind of protection, when he died it was the first time in my life that I was alone. At 33 years I was forced to take a crash course in independence.

I advised a Dutch friend with teenage daughters to be open and frank with them. Tell them about your own teenage days what you did and what you regretted. Give the girls the trust that they can come and tell you all their little secrets, all you have to do is advise and leave it up to them to accept or deny the advise. But always be a shoulder to cry on.
I wished I had a father to whom I could tell what my mother called my belly story to. But my father was quite unapproachable. We were suppose to be perfect, not to make mistakes, well you can imagine the mistakes we made once grownup and the naiveties. Gone was the protection. I did not grew up in a family that showed emotions. My mother knew how to love not how to advise. All my sorrows I told the moon lying in bed looking out of the window.
Children today are not the dummies off yesterday.
Are you missing your best friend? Remember he/ she was always happy when you came home, so buy another dog dear. Have a nice weekend love.

Unbelievable I played alto-sax in school. Our school had a band, maybe the first or only school to have one. Yes “if you can see me now” is from Millie Jackson this was on the LP I had. I’m too sexy for my shirt, I had to laugh of course I remember the song. Wonderful to read how talented you are. When my hubby was alive we had a radio and television store. After his death in 86 every thing was liquidated I was completely lost. Left Holland in 87 went to St. Martin, then to Curacao and to Guyana was gone for eight months and came back. I was trying to get rid of the pain but it followed me everywhere. Have worked mostly as a secretary/ personal assistant in law firms and accountant offices. Decided I had enough of offices became a tram driver quit that went back to office jobs, finally quit all together because I’m taxed heavily, having a widows pension and salary, all my saving went to paying income tax, now I work two hours a day just to subsidise the pension.

You would think I have enough time on my hands and have a spotless home well forget it. I hate housework, I like working outdoors, someone else has to do the cooking and cleaning but there is no one else, horror. Have a lovely weekend.

Shaolm V, and happy Hanukkah, tomorrow's Festival Of Lights. How was your weekend we had a snow storm and it's cold. Umm another Sax Lady, girlfriend you are unique, remember Shelia E on the drums, it's like girls can do anything, Right. "If You Can See Me Now" has a fav line "Looking back and longing for the freedom of my chains" Some lyrics got deep soul YKWIM. Dear you never get over the pain but you learn to accept like Bono said "I Can't Live With Or Without You" I had an absolutely fantastic Saturday, we went to Toronto for a Pow-Wow, Abroginal festival. It was Tantra, Mantra and Yantra the sacred tents the offerings to the Ancestors and to the Creator "sweet grass and sage and prayers" filled the place and the vibrations were awesome. I saw indigo children, medicine men and women, tantric couples and some opened their telepathic minds to me COOL!!!We were in the ZONE. The dance in the sacred circle was a view to behold. "All My Sorrows I Told The Moon" that's poetic, something to ponder on, Right.

Hi vex were you shovelling out on Sunday? Shaun Kingson has a nice voice and my sons like his music. Your phone proposal was romantic and do you know that Densil Washington did the same thing, so your in good company. How did my husband propose: Well he called my studio to invite me for lunch, then got "take out lunch" (Italian) then picked me up and we went to the Harbour where his Dad's boat was parked. We had lunch inside the boat and incidentally he brought his saxaphone. After lunch he played that song "This Girl's in Love with You" after this we went for a boatride in the late spring 96' Romantic stare smiles flying back and forth totally awesome, so we went way out on the lake and he stopped the boat and took a small box out of his jacket pocket and gave it to me. Actually tears came down my eyes and I was just in awe in the Love Zone. He took my hand, put the ring on and asked "Will You marry me"? I said Yes, like when your at the horse races and your horse comes running first on the turn, that's the kind of YES. The lake, the sky everything looked awesome, I thought of that song "Love Lift us Up Where We Belong, Where The Eagles Cry On A Mountain High". It was like earth, water, sky ,air and magnificent creation was witnessing with us.

Hi Veronica, you widow, me widower. My wife passed away form breast cancer ten years ago on December 10. I know how you feel and I appreciate your talks with Cheongsam and vex. I put my two kids through university, my son is married and i'm a proud Grandfather this year and my daughter will marry next spring, after that " Alone again" I love music and I grew up learning piano, so to escape my lonliness I played in hotels, bars and restaurants after work. Now I like to carve in my sparetime and I'm and ITconsultant professionally. Nobody can take her place so I live with memories of the way we were. Remember that song tears on my pillow, pain in my heart, you on my mind. That's me.
