As an American just returning from Accra, and a former Navy Reservest, I find it hard to beleive these guys drank themselves to death without any "help". I hope a full investigtion is conducted to see what really happened.

I AGREE 100%, SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE ! |

Agree, there is more to this than what is stated in this article

This whole story, at least the parts we get to hear, is bizarre. Be nice to read the "real report".

I've spent over an hour online trying to find anything about this... this has got to be some kind of cover up... maybe an overdose, murder, or perhaps both. Some skipper trying to save his career or Big Navy itself is concerned with letting the truth get out... But why? I hope it's not to save face in fear of recruiting numbers going down... that just won't happen with the Navy... Why can't I find the names of these kids who were stationed in my home town of Hampton Roads. I KNOW there next of kin has been identified. It's time to let me know what happened to my shipmates.

I saw a report that said alcohol poisioning. What I didn't understand was the age difference between the two, I also think they were not close in rank to each other also. Anybody remember reading that?

I am glad you were intrigued by the paygrade and age difference, that is the first thing I noticed. There is something very wrong here.

While in Accra, Americans are targetted by Ghanians, Sierra Leonians, Liberians and Nigerians for scams. They have no problem getting violent.
It appears they were set up to me, and there was a massive cover-up. The ranks, and both drinking themselves to death in a place where Americans are targetted makes this an obvious cover up. I hope the truth comes out. |
