I know that they did some bad things during the war, but today Germany is a beautiful country filled with friendly and helpful people who appear to be really sorry for the things that happened. So why can't people just move on? I still know a ton of people who will recklessly insult Germany in every possible chance and case and immediately bring up something about the war when Germany is mentioned. Personally, I am a huge fan of the country, and Europe's economy would be falling apart without them. So why do people refuse to move on? Will they ever move on?

Because they are idiots (the people who "hate" germans) and they're (the germans) about to win the Euro 2008 cup. People are pissed!!

I believe, those people love their prejudices.

They have no one else to blame so we Germans are their accuse for hate.

In Berlin and Wiesbaden-Erbenheim, the 60oth anniversary of the Berlin airlift is being celebrated today. Mr. Morrissey ("Wiggly Wings")and many other Americans, who flew the "Rosinenbombers", are here for the celebrations.

We (the older generation) are most grateful to all Americans who were involved in that gigantic operation. 101 people died in the airlift.

Thank you, America!

Don't feed the trolls !
Often, calling someone a troll makes assumptions about a writer's motives. Regardless of the circumstances, controversial posts may attract a particularly strong response from those unfamiliar with the robust dialogue found in some online, rather than physical, communities. Experienced participants in online forums know that the most effective way to discourage a troll is usually to ignore him or her, because responding tends to encourage trolls to continue disruptive posts — hence the often-seen warning: "Please do not feed the trolls

@ Lost in Germany. So you get your "facts" from 1 city in a whole country (not to mention Berlin is a shit city full of noobs and disliked by many germans, even tho its the capital). Maybe you should live outside a city in germany, in a village. Or in a different town/bundesland instead of saying Germans are all the same "CAUSE I SAW BERLIN YOYYOO!!!111!!!". All the things you said are just bullshit, atleast counted on more then 70-80% of germany. Maybe you should do some researchs?? Now i say with all my heart: LOST IN GERMANY GOT NO PROVEN FACTS!!!

why people hate Germany is without a doubt, because of world war 1 and 2. I'm a American born German, and the three things that come out of peoples mouths are "Nazi, Hitler, or holocaust". Trust me, no one are worse then Americans. So when someone comes up to me and says, "Hey Nazi boy!" I simply smile and say, "Hey Negro killer" shuts them up just fine.

I have been to Germany a few times. I found them to be very rude people and very unfriendly. I have never felt this kind of treatment in any other country. I have been to Canada, Japan, France, England, Italy and Mexico and the citizens of those countries have been so kind, helpful and friendly. Yet, when I went to Germany I was dissapointed with the people that it ruined the entire trip for me and my friend. We have both been huge fans of Germany since we were little, but after that trip I never want to go there again! Germans suck!:( All the stereotypes of Germans is true sorry to burst anyone's bubble! If you do go to another country I recommend Japan or England. They were my favorite!
Did anyone else have the same problem I had in Germany?

Stereotypes are true? Hmmm. So all Americans are lazy, fat and war obsessed? There are rude people everywhere in every country. Most Germans are not rude - but cautious (unless you cross the street on red, or put your feet on the seat on the train - then we yell *lol*)

If you want to call Germany rude you go right ahead. As that one person said..America is war obsessed. America is war mongers. I am a German-born-citizen and lived in America Tennessee for 21 years. from the age of 3 years old till 24 years old..Just 3 months ago I left. YOu know why? Because economy is collapsing in America. It's getting worse. American jobs are going elsewhere. And on top of that, of all the stories I've heard and the stuff I've read about September 11, 2001. The American Government is the one who created 9/11 because they are some greedy people wantingto go to Iraq for their oil. 10 years later..STILL IN IRAQ. Months after G. Bush takes office, what happened? And on the SAME DAY it gets attacked Bush is no where near DC. He's in Sarasota, Florida. And how in the hell did terroist get on an internatonial flight with weapons? When I fly internationally it's a pain in the a** getting through security. American Gov't planned 9/11. It is known Americans are tha fattest people in the world. The time I have been here in Germany I have seen a few big people. In America you see them everywhere. Americans are lazy as well. Want to live off the government and on food stamps. I left because I had enough of America. That country has turned into a communist country. No country is perfect. EVERY COUNTRY on the place of the earth has nice people in it, and have rude people in it. Yes, there are rude people here, but also nice people. Like in America, there are rude people in America. But also nice people in America. And you say Germans suck? Hate to burst your bubble, but Americans suck...WAR OBESSION WAR MONGERS!!!!!

I hate to 'burst your bubble' but perhaps there should be topic named 'Why everyone hates America?'

I'm sure there would be plenty of response that agree.

Many 'New Germans' here are from America. The same is often heard, Americas economy - horrible, Government-horrible, in fact, many Americans are clueless to world events - they stay in the 'bubble' created by their Government and attempt to force other nations into their Political System - by force.

Its is America and Americans that are most hated in the world - not us Germans!
