I lived in the Babenhausen family housing area from 1961 - 1965. Enjoyed going to the AYA and and played AYA football, everyone called me 'Tarzan'. I met a wonderful girl who also lived in the housing area and we later married.

Hey, do you remember a guy getting squashed between a M109 Shop Van (2 1/2 ton) and an M577 (FDC track vehicle)? It happened in between May 1986 and Oct 1986. My memory is so vague from the accident that I've tried to2 forget it. But as I stated earlier, the scar always feels weird and painful on other days. I blew my shoulder out too. SW Section.

Would you write a statement to that fact. I only found one of the people that was actually on the site. My injury was basically blown off even though it put me out of commission for over a month. I need the information for a claim that I should have made back then but was afraid to do so. I'll give you my email so that you can contact me directly.

Thanks. Were you at the clinic when I arrived? Did you work on me?

I was stationed at the Babenhausen Kaserne in 1962, with the 157th Ordnance Detachment. We supported the 1/38 Arty BN with their Corporal missiles. Babenhausen was a charming little town back then.
I was in A-burg with the 557th Ord Co, D.S. We had a detachment in Babenhausen. I only went there a couple of times, but went back in 2004. It was one of the most picturesque kasernes I ever saw. I wish I had taken more pictures of it. In 2010 it was locked up with weeds growing in the streets.

I was in the 557th Ord in A-burg; we had a detachment in Babenhausen when you were there. I went back to A-burg in 2004 and visited the Babenhausen kaserne. I wish I had taken more pictures of it. It was the most picturesque installation I saw over there. In 2010 it was closed and the gate locked. It's sad.

I was a military dependant in Babenhausen between 1978 and 1981. I went to the school on-base (had Ms. Sorg for 4th grade) but we lived off base and rented from a really nice lady, Bridget Titze, and her family. Her daughters, Sabine and Babbles, were my best friends. I've tried to locate them with no luck. Anyone have any information?

Hi folks, I was there from 69 to 70 with the 5/77th FA,(The SGT Missile Unit), till we packed up, and went to Wiesbaden. Harold Trotter and I would go to the Rod and Gun Club and shoot some Skeet every once in a great while. I used to watch the gliders south of us, and was so fascinated by them that I eventually became a high performance soaring, and aerobatic glider pilot. It is a TON of fun, you folks ought to try it some time.
