I met Brenden during a Signal exercise and everything he told me was a lie. He said he was married with two dogs and was Jewish. He also stated he knew everything about a piece of equipment yet had no idea about it at all. He even lied about being Jewish to get BAS.
Sad.
However he is dead. I think we should all let it go as he is no longer here to place blame on or to make fun of.

I was in his unit, and the whole time he was there, he has faked injuries to get out of work. And he flaunted religion while in uniform but as soon as it was c.o.b. he would not mention religion or wear his yarmuka (sp?). He was caught faking injuries and when he went to physical therapy his "injury" was not real. He faked his "injury" to get out of going to Iraq with his unit then used that Iraq as a stepping stone to false glory. No glory was in the deed he has done

Seriously...I know Brendan more than all of you. I went to Basic with him, I went to School with him. I lived in the room next to him. He is not an american hero. He is not anything. He did not GIVE his life for anything, he TOOK it because he was a liar and got to a point where he couldnt anymore. Not only did he take his life but he thought of almost no one but himself. I can remember numerous times where me and my buddies would have to take on the brunt of his work because of his lies. Im not saying it was the right choice or that death os okay in anyway, but he surely brought it upon himself. I talked with him many times about it and told him the consequences but he ignored me. He knew what he was doing and it was wrong. Nothing in life ever can get that bad unless you do it to yourself.

Again... you have the right to say whatever you'd like, but I've known the guy since he was... 9... 10 maybe... and this is him... all him. The fact that he hung himself the morning that the Criminal Investigation began questioning him proves that he was guilty. He KNEW what he was doing was wrong, and was a serious offense (including forging government ID Stating a false rank). if we just say "who cares?" and feel sorry for him, this insults ALL of the people out there actually doing their job and defending our country while we sit @ home and mourn the loss of a man who took his own life instead of making it right. yes, this situation upsets me... but lying will DO that.

Yes there is somthing they are not telling us
He was a Liar and He Was A Coward
He never went to iraq or special Ops Training
He killed himself when people found out he was a Liar

I am from Brenden's company in Germany. We are not a special ops unit,we are a signal unit, nor did he ever receive special ops training, i have known him since AIT. He "injured" his knee long before we ever deployed and before the injury he would talk about how he did not want to go to Iraq. We all talked about how he was faking because when we were out of work we saw him numerous times walking fine without a cane. All of us are over here fighting while he was back in Germany living good, there is no excuse for what he did. He is not a hero and now never will be. We are soldiers suppose to fight to the end but he took the cowards way out.
