ive been here preaty close to frankfurt and all ive seen is hash and i have to tell you folks its not the same as bus in the states im planing a trip to amsterdam my self and you have to be 18 to buy there and your only allowed 5 grams per day per coffee shop hope it helps

It is illegal in Deutschland, but kinda legal in Holland. Kinda legal means; the cops CAN bust you with it. But they won't, if you got less than 30 grams with you. You can buy weed in a coffeeshop in Holland, again kinda legal. It's a really blurry law. But when traveling to Germany, with weed, or under the influence of weed, or even with traces of weed (wich can last up to 6 weeks) in your blood; it could be giving you an hard time, explaining to the german cops (polizei) that you've bought and smoked it in Holland. I don't know anything about how easy, or expensive it is to get weed in Germany. But an educated guess: dealers usually don't sell real good stuff. Not in america, not in Germany. Just go to an coffeeshop, at the border of Holland-Germany, you'll get some goot pot, guaranteed.

Some words:

Dutch:

Weed = Wiet (pronounced the same)
Hasj = Hasj (pronounced Hah-sh)
Tobaco = Tabak (pronounced tah-bahk)
Gram = Gram (pronounced grahm)

In dutch, the A is pronounced as the a in 'car'. Never as in 'ass'.

German:

Weed = Mariuahana
Hasj = Hashiesh
Gram = Gramm

Also here, never pronounce an A as in 'ass'.

But don't worry, must Germans, and about every Dutchman (especially in the coffeeshops) know English. And by just saying; 'Where can I buy some weed?' or in German 'Wo kann ich Mariuana kaufen?', you'll get along fine.

In fact, most of the time just saying Weed, and pulling a asking face, is enough.

But once again, don't waste your money in Germany on some horseshit, combined with grass, and if your lucky some weed.
Just buy class-a stuff in Holland. And it's a lot cheaper:

Purple Haze -€7,-/gram
Ice-o-lator -€12,-/gram
Santa Maria -€6,-/gram

(there are many names for weed species in Dutch coffeeshops, but try White Widow, Skunk, Purple Haze, Powerplant or anything like that, and you'll be fine. Or be expirimental, and buy something that sounds cool (like White Rhino, Salad Bowl etc.), it usually also IS cool.)

And if you buy cigs outta a vending machine you have to have a special card (like a key card) to purchase. Most pubs won't ask for an ID...In Bad Nauheim I had no problem buying alcohol and at that time I looked like I could have been 12. Germany is awesome.

Just say "Cannabis" or Marijuana. Those are popular terms and should be understood by anyone.

1. Ok Marijuana is illegal in Germany.
2. But the police dosn't really care if you got some g with you. It is diffrent from state to state the highest amount you are allowed to have with you is 16g and the lowest is 6g. If you just got that much with you, police might take it away, when they see you but nothing else is gone happen.

3. In Holland weed is legal. You can buy it every where in Coffeshops. But doen't buy more than 25g. Don't drive under influence of marijuana. Smoking is onley allowed in private and cofefshops, but police dosen't really care if you do it some where alone, where no one is around.(But there police is not normaly gone find you) You are allowed to buy it with 18.
4. Never, Never try to smuggle it over to Germany or any other country. They are very strikt and there is a lot of police around the boarder.
5. It is not that hard to buy Marijuana in Germany, but it is hard to get good stuff, without knowing some one.
Just go into town and ask young people (from 16 to 30) if they would like to sell marijuana or if they know some one.(best time is late at night)
Look for people where you think they could smoke some weed.
6. Never buy it of some one on the street.
7. If you don't know any one it is expensive.
street price is 10 euro a g. But if you buy around 10g you will pay less.
8. Be carefull of driving after you smoked. You need to wait 48 hours.
9. Tip: Smoking and growing weed is also allowed in Spain.(Selling wedd is not allowed) You can buy it there every where.

10. Drinking age is 16 for wine and beer in Germany. Every thing else is 18.
11. Tobacco is also alowed with 18.(taxes are very high on Tobacco)
12. Spice is also illegal since january 2010.
13. magic mushrooms are also illegal and are onley allowed in the Neatherland.(in Amsterdam you can buy them in every third shop (not the very strong ones))
14. I'm not very sure about Switzerland, but i think smoking in private is allowed and growing for private is also allowed. So geeting weed here shouldn't be that hard.(the law I think was made new in 2009)

It can be very easy hook up in europe. Just go to the trainstations and look around for the "bums" or "brown" people. They will probably come up to you. If they ask for money,tell them ok if they can hook you up. It works most of the time. You will get ripped off if your not careful,but it works everytime in the end. Trust me. ;)
