Don't forget we're speaking about Georgia here... one of the most backward countries of the post Soviet. Doubt "economy development" and "strong country" today anyhow concern Georgia... An just not to make another unsubstantiated statements, here you're some statistics on investments in Georgia for the recent 4 years I got: year 2008 – Georgia receives $1.5 billions after having 2 in 2007, year 2009 after having $1.5 billions Georgia receives only $650 mln... Last year that was something about $200 millions and this year already approximating to zero... Still think open border with Azerbaijan makes sense??.....

Open borders are indeed good for economy, and prosperity. But from Armenia's perspective the situation is different.

Open borders are not welcome when you have genocidal monsters as your neighbors who bark day and night about destroying you so they can create an empire. Such cancers as Azerbaijan and Turkey must be removed from the picture before an open border policy can be preached.

Open borders works great for Canada, USA and Mexico... but at the moment not the Caucasus. When the Turkish military is eliminated and the fake country of Azerbaijan is dismantled into the correct territories, then you may have a point.
